I absolutely love my bag. The backpack has the space that I need and it doesn't feel too heavy on me.

Excellent for large laptops PLUS luggage space!
Is it a laptop case? Is it a carry-on suitcase? Really it's both.I have a large laptop, measures 16" by 11". The back pocket in this bag has plenty of space and padding for it. There's also a pouch in the back pocket that fits the large power brick well. The laptop is not stretching the pocket and isn't right up against the zipper, this is very spacious and not stressing the fabric or zippers in any way.Next to the back pocket where the laptop goes, there is a very spacious luggage-like space that has straps and side pockets. Then you've got the outer pockets with lots of little pockets that fit odds and ends of all sizes. The exterior is well built. There is a handle on top and on the side so it is easy to move around and can be carried in several different ways. There are 4 exterior straps that cinch things down to keep it as tidy as possible. One of the straps is right across the water bottle pouch, whoops, pointed out in the picture so you need to decide if you want a water holder or if you want to use the strap. Only thing that feels a bit cheap is the external USB plug that routes to a wire inside that you can attach to a power brick.I took this on a 4 night trip to Vegas and it was amazing. Carried my laptop, power supply, and peripherals safely, also had plenty of room for a few changes of clothes and toiletries. This thing is great and I'm so glad that I have a new bag for my laptop that I feel it's adequately protected in!

Carry on your back luggage.
This Yamtion expandable backpack/carry on is better than I expected. The material doesn't look like it's waterproof (I haven't tested the water proofing/resistance) but it looks and feels durable to me.I love the idea of being able to lug my carry-on on my back. The bag is a little big when it's filled with stuff but it's easier to get around and keep my hands free.I like all the compartments on the outside. I especially like the small thin pocket at the top. It's perfect for my pens, stylus, glasses or random things I constantly use like a pack of gum or a Swiss army knife. The other compartments are nice, too, and are larger for things like books, tablets, etc.The straps are not the most comfortable but as long as I don't have a ton of weight in this bag, they're good enough for me. They could probably use a little more cushioning.Overall, I'm very happy with this bag. I don't have to fumble as much when trying to find things inside. It's easier for me to organize the things I always need within reach while traveling.

An above average design
This is a slightly better take on the carry-on backpack/luggage combos that I have used in the past. For starters, the luggage compartment does a better job than most. Typically it's the back-most zipper but here it is in the middle. This makes it so when you lay it down and open it, you aren't flipping your heavy laptop compartment over with the lid. Also, this compartment hinges on the side of the backpack instead of the bottom, more like a traditional suitcase. Inside are all the extra pockets and zipper you expect plus the elastic strap. You get quite a bit more space when unzipping the expansion, but from what I can measure this easily gets it beyond the dimensions of most airlines' carry-on restriction.Hinging the main compartment on the side means there is also space for a side pocket. It's only on the one side but still a nice advantage over comparable backpacks. Organization in the main compartments includes a few pockets but not much more than the average.Material doesn't seem like the most durable but probably better than you find in most bags at this price range.

Good zippers, ample storage, shoulder pads could be more padded
Pros:1 - Ample storage space with plenty of little compartments so you can stash all of your stuff. Example, the hidden pocket on the backside is great for your gadgets or wallet that you might need to keep closer you to or maybe a boarding pass for a plane.2 - Zippers are quick and smooth.3 - Materials overall seem like quality. They put thought into having breathable mesh on the back and on the shoulder straps which is generally where you would need that extra bit of cooling.Cons:1 - Shoulder pads are a little on the thin side. They're likely using some simple foam in those areas rather than say a rubber/silicone hex pattern for support2 - The cheast strap isn't "the best". It'll do and provides some support, but adjusting the strap while its on isn't the easiet thing to do.The above 2 cons are what I would consider high-end nitpicks. The thing is, this is not high end luggage. This is a convenient carry-on backpack to get you to your destination for the weekend. In this category this backpack performs admirably.

Excellent Backpack for 4x5 Camera, Lenses, Film Holders, and Accessories
I got this to see if it might fit my 4x5 field camera, three lenses, at least four film holders, filters, light meter, and other accessories. It accommodates everything with room to spare. It seems well made, and if time proves that it's as durable as it seems, it will turn out to be a great backpack for other large format photographers.Of course, it's also a great backpack for general use, especially as a weekend bag for short road trips.I'm glad I found this thing.
