A good addition to available budget strings
I've used similarly priced Tonica strings on all of my four violins at some point or other but have only been satisfied with results on the two newest ones - On my antique instrument and more robust new violin they don't quite sound right, especially on the antique which sounded great with dominants but I've been reluctant to get those since they got so expensive - The set of Alphayue strings I got were actually £14 and listed as used because they only had the aluminium D included, so wasn't much to spend to try them out as I'd previously had the aluminium D when I had used Dominants I'm giving these 5 stars because they really do sound like dominants and have a fuller sound than the Tonicas, so a prefect match on the classy antique violin, though I have to get another set to try them out on newer violin that sounds great with high tension Evah Pirrazi's and should sound good with these. The only slight niggle with these strings is the tin plated E which I really don't like but I have spare E's since I found that there are good plain steel E's in some of the cheap Chinese string sets, which at around £1.50 per set are much cheaper than buying any single steel E string - I 've never bothered with the Dominant E before so this has not affected my rating...

New to the violin. These were the strings that were used to re-string it when my violin was sent for repair. They sound great!

Somewhat better than the ones I had before
Somewhat better than the ones I had before....although top E string about the same. As for longevity? Ask me again in two years!

For much more than beginners!
Beautiful strings. Used dominate for 39 years and switched to these because the price is gone silly in dominants. These are really lovely strings. Very stable - great sound - I love them. Raunchy g and great d and a and even the e is not bad. I have 5 violins and over the past few years have used probably 10 sets of these and have always been excited about new strings 😀

Very good option
Really nice strings. Give even 1/2 Stentor violin rich and deep sound. Soft and thick under fingers. Remember, E string is not nylon, but steel. And this is normal! Definitely worth of money. Strong enough for everyday practicing musicians.

Awful
I have to admit that I’m used to the Dominant range but with their ever escalating price, I decided to try these. Very disappointing. I’m confused by good reviews for these. I’ve been using a cheap set of Artisan strings for a good while now and they were exceptionally good for the roughly £10 price tag. Unfortunately they’re unavailable now. These sound terrible and seem quite badly made. I’ve had them on a few days and have decided to bin them and get some Preludes for £17. I need to do some recording and can’t even consider doing it with these strings so will gamble on those. Save your money and buy an £8 set if you’re just after some beginner practice strings. In my opinion these aren’t for anything other than that

Cordas muito boas .
Cordas boas, de ótima qualidade porém , para violinos estridentes igual ao meu não fica bom usá-las, pois vibram muito, recomendo pegar cordas de perlon .

Very good student strings
My daughter just sized up to a 1/2 size violin and the strings that were originally on the violin sounded very “tinny”. Her teacher recommended that I buy these strings and they sound absolutely amazing in comparison! I recommend them to any student.

Good strings
I put these strings on my electric violin (I have two wood violins). At first, I was not overwhelmed by them. The A string sounded much brighter than the others...it stuck out like a sore thumb. But I kept with them and they settled in after a week. The A string now matches the tone of the set and of course they have finished stretching, so do not need re-tuning as often. The tone is fairly warm and the strings ring for a very long time (mostly noticeable because the violin is electric). Here is a tip for those having trouble with strings snapping. Bring the strings up to tune SLOWLY. If you try to crank them up too quickly, any brand will snap. This is true of all four strings, but especially the E string.Bottom line with Alphayue: They are not Eva's or even Dominants. But they don't cost like those others, either. For an inexpensive set, they are pretty good. I would recommend them for beginners, or even for your backup violin if you are more advanced. They are not bad, really.
