The one thing I read about these was high water pressure (around 60psi or above) can cause them to fail. We sometimes aren't there for a month at a time, so I installed a pressure regulator set to 30 psi and added a Wi-Fi sprinkler time to only run 30 minutes a day or I can start and stop it anytime. That combination works great. Plus, with the sprinkler timer app gives me how many gallons are added a day, so I can see if anything is abnormal from anywhere. If you are not home all the time, I would recommend adding the regulator and timer combination. It's an additional $100 well spent and you can install them yourself.

Super good value. Does the job while we are out of town. Keeps pool water up so pool pump doesn’t burn up. Very simple operation, reliable.

Easy to set up and it seems to work well. I’ve read reviews that it overfills the pool. I THINK the problem is that it has to be leveled with the little feet on the bottom so the float can work properly. I used a stainless steel hose with it and so far no leaks. I’m not confident enough to trust it when I’m not home yet so I turn the water off when I leave but it’s easy to turn on and it stops when the pool reaches the right level so I don’t have to constantly check the pool. So far so good and the price is right

I wish I had know to buy this sooner. No more worrying about my pump when water evaporates, especially when I’m traveling.

This product has hung up on 2 different occasions in a 2-week period and overflowed my pool both times. I will have a water bill higher than it’s supposed to be because of this product now. DO NOT buy this product if you expect to set it and forget it. I’ve owned another brand that lasted years without this issue, so I’ll be returning this one to purchase the other brand that I trust. Also took a couple tries to prevent this from leaking when installing. Only thing positive I can say about this product is that the noise was more quiet than the other brands I have used.

Super tool for maintaining your pool water level and you will have it for years to come if you turn the wter off while the pool is occupied as it will safe the valve form unnecessary action amid of wakes caused by occupants.

Try not to kick the plumbing connection, not delicate but not really too strong. I replaced another unit app 6 years old.

I’m rating a 3 as it is working after a couple weeks but it is not very sturdy. I had to adjust the internal couplings in order for the parts to align so I could place the lid on it. The brackets that hold the internal plumbing are flimsy and if someone accidentally bumps the garden hose to the unit, the lid pops off.Still, for the price, if it lasts one season I’ll be happy.Oh, and it leaks where the garden hose attaches to the unit even with the gasket in place.
