This building set is simply fantastic! I highly recommend it! It is definitely one of the most interesting and engaging ones that we have done! :) We absolutely LOVE all things Lego (and all similar sets) because they are both fun AND challenging. This set was so fun to do and one that all the kids stayed interested in!The pieces all come neatly separated in bags and the instruction booklet is fairly easy to follow along with. (especially if you have done these kinds of sets in the past) Some steps were a little confusing. Younger builders might need some assistance since the piece is quite fragile with many teeny tiny parts. I would not recommend it for smaller children, at least not as a project for them to complete on their own.Unlike another Lego style music box that we completed in the past, this one doesn't require you to assemble the actual part that plays music. The base is already ready to go, you just build the carousel on top of it.The outer packaging is colorful, whimsical and eye catching. Definitely giftable!This is SUCH a fun and adorable piece! All of the flowers and other tiny details add just the right amount of color to the carousel and the little panda bears add some whimsy and kawaii cuteness! I didn't even know that any pandas were included so that was a nice little surprise. :) Plus, it lights up!The music box actually works and plays music! You just twist the base like a traditional music box. Just be careful as the piece is quite fragile. Pieces will definitely fall off if you aren't careful!

This was such a fun build. I took my time and built it over 3 evenings while watching TV with my husband. In the description it says it's recommended for kids ages 6 and up. I think this might be hard for a 6 year old without an adult. There was a few times I struggled with the instructions.What I like....I like how the blocks were separated into smaller numbered bags. I appreciated that the colors are pretty and consistent. The bricks snap together good and stay put. The LED light brick made the carousel loo so magical in the dark. I don't know the name of the song it plays but it is pretty.What I don't like....In photo that I attached it says in the description that this set is compatible with other major brands. It is not. The pieces in this carousel set are very small. They do not lock with any Lego, Mega Blocks, Mould King, or Sluban sets that I have. I don't know what the manufacturer was talking about.But all in all this is a pretty music box and fun to put together.

Music box works as intended, though the flaps on top are a bit flimsy. Not to mention the figures can't really fit on the horses.

I personally love carousels of all kinds. This little set has some pretty small piece but when it all comes together it's rather nice. Good sound and excellent set that will join my other Legos and building block sets as a favorite. Highly recommend this kit!

I'm 50, but I got this for myself. Small Pieces, and a lot of them, but that's part of the fun. For the most part the instructions are pretty good. There was a couple times that I had some trouble, but not bad, just need my reading glasses. Very happy for the separate packages of blocks rather than one big bag to sort thru. Ages 6+ I think is a little young, but if you are looking for a project to do with your child that is fun for an adult as well, this would be a great option.

I got this fun, I thought, merry-go-round block set for my two granddaughters. My daughter and her family LOVE Legos so I thought this would be a good thing for the littles to do. The blocks are smaller than Legos, they don't hold together as well either so even if my daughter puts this together for her girls it falls apart the minute they try to play with it. My daughter did say the girls like to play with the animals that come with the merry-go-round, thus the 2 stars. While cute, this is a no for our family.

It's a little challenging but I love that fact about a building set. Pretty colors and so many small details to add to this set. I am having fun working on this.

This music box is really pretty after we put together. But I have to say it's not easy for a 7 year girl at all. Even for me, it's a little bit harder. We took four morning to put them together, those piece are small, but good quality. The music my girl loves it. It's great gift for girls. But I think if you put it together before you send it will be better.
