Complete junk very disappointed in Barnett
After about 10 shots the string latch mechanism failed. The bow is useless now because I can’t get the string to latch and stay locked in. I’ve been using Barnett for 10 years this is my 4th crossbow from them and never had any issues. I tried everything possible and it won’t latch, it pushes the safety back a bit but doesn’t lock in. So basically their “trigger tech” trigger and latch is the issue. Totally unacceptable for a brand new bow at this price point. Plus the serving is coming apart already. After only 10 shots that’s just poor. Big gaps near the bolt nock spots which will affect accuracy. Their warranty process is a joke, I wouldn’t receive a new bow or fixed bow for months and would miss hunting season so luckily I went through Amazon. It’s on way back after just having it for 4 days. Getting money back and switching brands. It is very unsafe to have issues with trigger/ latch, not worth giving another chance. Do not buy, as nice as I looks resist temptation and trust my review I’ve been shooting bow/crossbow for 23 years. This isn’t a rare event if the product is China junk

Great crossbow
This is a great quick shooting crossbow, bout 120 shots in with minimal cable creep

Not what I expected.
I was terribly disappointed with this crossbow. For the price I was expecting a precision instrument - not so much. The top portion of the bow, where the scope mounts to, is real flimsy. You can move the whole top rail with little pressure, the scope mounts to it so there is no way to believe that it will maintain zero under hunting conditions. The only way to get a crank type cocking device is to order a new stock that does not match the rest of the bow. Not only does it not match the whole cocking system was not designed well. In my opinion your fingers are in a potentially dangerous position during cocking for way too long. There is a tab that connects to the bowstring from the cocking device that upon cocking has to be knocked out of the locking mechanism of the string and bolt. This whole process leaves me nervous as can be.The scope is not variable in the true sense as it leads you to believe as advertised. The scope is actually variable to the speed of the bow. The faster the bow the higher the magnification, then it's locked to that power to make the ranging portion of the scope to be accurate. With that being said, the scope identified the speed of the bow to be 390 fps not 420 fps. I verified this to be accurate with my FX Dopler radar chronograph. It also stated the actual speed of the bolt ranged from 390 to 397 in string after string of shots as I was tuning the bow and doping the scope. Also the tab that is used to cock the bow stores between the scope and stock which gets in the way of a flip up scope cover unless using tall scope mounts. Tall scope mounts work better for eye placement and feel as well. That is the cons. on to the pros. The price, I guess, is okay. I paid more for the crossbow than I have for some of my firearms. I really have no issue with the speed other than it is not as advertised. It will most definitely bag a whitetail deer if the scope stays zeroed after getting in position. So far, I have not had to re-zero, but I have only taken it to the field a couple of times. I like the overall feel of the crossbow, it has a handy flip down pistol grip for your front hand. The safety takes some getting used to but is okay.If I could do it again, I would try a different crossbow. That is a shame because I bought it because of the brand name. Barnett makes a great compound bow, I have several, so I chose the Raptor BCX from my experience with their compounds. I think they should reimagine the Raptor, with a little work in the reengineering department it could be what it should be. On a ten scale I give the Raptor BCX a 4.

Xbow shoots great but serving is coming loose after 20 shots
Overall the crossbow is great I did have difficulty removing the cocking sled as it is pinched in there. After sighting it in an approximately 25 shots the serving near the knock area is coming loose.

Exploded in my face
If I could give no stars I would. I’ve had several bows that utilize the hyper flite bolts over the years and they’ve all had issues. I have killed animals with the hyperflites and have always wanted them to work. However they seem to always have issues and leave me second guessing the platform. This bow in particular was extremely accurate and performing amazingly until the week before a trip to Illinois when it decided to explode in my face. I can honestly say I have always been sure to properly seat the nock, and it was not user error. Of course I got my money back no problem but I had to regroup and go with a different bow right before a huge trip. I love the Barnett bows, but the hyper flite platform needs some evaluation.

Barnett HyperRaptor BCK
The media could not be loaded. Great crossbow very fast 425FPS the bolts it comes with have metal nocks so it is a bit harder to actually set to the back until you hear a click scope is not great and not accurate with measurements on elevation 5 clicks is a 1/2inch at 20yrds but it’s more like 15 clicks per 1/2inch not a fan of the scope and the cocker rubs against serving string after cocking back you have to slide it down which cause more wear I feel I’m a huge fan of Barnett and love my bow wouldn’t recommend shooting the target in the same spot it will completely pass through and my target is rated at 450fps

SAFETY ISSUE
When you cock the crossbow, and start to remove Cocking Device it hits the safe/fire lever into the fire position, not good, Otherwise I did like the crossbow.

Not consistent
First thing i notice is the trigger is loose and giggles makes sounds. The cooking sled gets stuck when you load the string. The serving is already coming apart after 63 shots. The scop is junk or something is wrong with it or the bow. 20 yards bulls eye. 30 yards bullseye 40 yards bullseye and then 40 yards 8 inchs to the rite then 40 yards 6 inchs to then left. I have 2 bows I can shoot the other one confidently and accurately. This bow something is wrong it shoots all over the place. The Boe it self is very very nice great look but it's not working properly
