Hilariously fun
Hitting my family with fake swords? How could I resist, lol! On a serious note however, the swords are surprisingly soft so there's not really much chance of injury :) Something that I'm sure most parents reading this will be wondering about. The game is really easy to follow and consists of a deck of coloured dueling cards and 2 foam swords. Players try to collect 3 cards of the same colour - 3 sets of cards wins you the game. On each round, the "fight boss' lays cards in piles in the centre of the table. On a count of 3, players point to the pile of cards they want - if only one person points to a pile, they automatically get those cards, however 2 or more players pointing to the same pile means they must duel for them. Only 2 players can duel, so if there's more players, the fight boss decides who will duel. For each dual, players must follow the dueling instructions on the cards they're dueling over, for example, they might have to hold the sword with the tips of their fingers/thumb, or with knees touching, or with straight arms, or even whilst standing on one leg! It's hilariously funny to watch. To keep everything nice and pleasant, you can only hit someone on the upper torso - no arms or head hits. Breaking any of the dueling rules or not following the card instructions however, will see the other player automatically winning the cards. It's a lot of fun and like nothing we've ever played before - it's always nice to find a game that's unique. My family really enjoy playing it - gameplay lasts around 20 mins and on the whole, it provides a great deal of amusement. If you're looking for a game that's a little bit different and a lot of fun to play, I highly recommend this one :)

A Whole Bunch Pantomime-like Fun!
A very simple game overall, unique yet hugely entertaining. The object of the game is to perform rather strange and comical duels to win. Think, play whilst you pretending you need to pee (keep the knees together), or, twirling three times, Using only the fingertips, persistently complimenting your opponent, bow at each sword touch, don't bend your elbow, throw the sword over your head whilst misplay. Of course not all the actions need to be performed together...but there might be a few simultaneous acts of sheer theatrical antics.Essentially there is a deck of cards in the box, two foam swords. The object of the game is to collect a trio of cards of the same colours by duelling for them from the main deck. Three matching colour sets means you win the game. Each card has a set of rules for you complete to win that hand. The rules are what makes the game so amusing. Here's a sample:Polite Fight - Anytime you sword hits anything , you must give your opponent a compliment that hasn't been used yet during the game.or;Fancy Fighter - For the entire sword fight, you must only touch the sworn with the tips of your fingers (no palms). To keep the game more playful and less gruesome, you can only touch your opponent with the sword on their torso. No limbs, no head or face. If you follow the rules you win the hand. The only problem is, trying to keep the noise levels down to avoid the neighbours assuming there is an urgent situation underway. The Niggle:The swords are unlikely to withstand the rigorous use of a family for a good length of time. We may have to replace them at some point by buying some generic foam swords from Amazon.5 stars

Good fun even with two players
We adapted this for two players - but mainly we just wanted to hit each other with the foam swords. The cards give you different rules and positions/tasks to use with the swords. This is a great game - especially as you get to hit people with swords.

An absolute riot!
Simple to grasp, incredibly fun and had us in tears (teens + adults).I was a bit worried the kids would get a bit 'enthusiastic' about the duelling and it would descend into chaos. The games punishment for breaking the rules kept them in check though and we were all able to actually finish the games we started.I really wasn't sure how this would go down, but in the end it has been a blast and just something wildly different to the usual board or card games. Can't recommend enough.

So so much fun!
We love Exploding Kittens in our house and this game is no exception. It is definitely more energetic than some of the others but I believe this is one of the reasons why my kids love it so much. You get two foam swords and a stack of activity cards in different colours. The aim of the game is to collect 3 piles of 3 cards of the same colour. For each round one player takes the lead. We played this as a group of 4 so the leader takes the top 6 cards off the draw pile and creates 3 piles combining colour cards of their choice. All players point at their desired pile at the same time. If two or more players choose the same pile the leader of that round gets to decide who should embark on a sword duel. The pile the players fight over will contain 1 or more prompts to add more interest to the fight (eg “spin around 3 times before the start of the fight” or “stand on one leg for the entire fight” etc) It’s really so much fun and we haven’t laughed so much in ages! Would definitely recommend.
