Many people (myself included) have found creative uses for it beyond just livestock watering: it works great as a backyard plunge pool or even as a container garden. I appreciate how it holds its shape so well, even when filled to the brim with water—it feels rock solid.That said, I did have a minor issue with the drain plug seal over time; it can sometimes start to leak a little if the seal wears out or shifts. A quick fix with plumber’s tape or a marine adhesive sealant solved the problem, though, so it wasn’t a dealbreaker for me. Overall, this stock tank is a reliable, versatile, and well-built solution for a wide range of needs. Whether you’re using it for livestock, aquaculture, gardening, or just as a big outdoor tub, it’s definitely worth the investment.

It fits my outdoor ice bath and effectively blocks debris and clean water. So the strap that is supposed to hold it tight actually lets it slip out pretty easily. The flap that opens for animals to drink out of frequently gets blown back over, and into the water. My biggest complaint is that they didn't add any rigidity to the top (or floatation), which would have been very little extra expense and would have made the whole product better in multiple ways. I've added some photos that show how it looks after a few days of use and you get the idea.

This comes in its own little zipper bag and unfolds to reveal that the underside has the silver reflective layer but no actual insulation to speak of. It fit's just like it was made for the Rubbermaid 100g and has both a drawstring (which is pretty hard to get tight just due to the circumference) and a gator mouth clip on a flat nylon strap. The strap goes into four sewn loops and I would think it would a better choice than the draw string if the winds got high. Overall, well executed for its intent.

So practical! When I bought the water tank, I didn't come with a lid. In summer, the sun made the water tank scalding hot and the water tasted bad. This lid is of just the right size, providing excellent shade and preventing freezing in winter.
