I use these for little box scooping. Plenty big enough for a few days' clumps without crowding. By using these I can leave the sealed bag by the litter box and put it out for scheduled garbage pick up.Before this I was using a more generic (cheaper) 2 gallon bag that also worked well except as with any zipper bags it was a bit more compex the make sure the bag was squeezed shut. The slider bags, though more expensive, make life easier.Having 2- or these 2.5-gallon bags in the house is also useful for other things. Roomy enough for a 5-pound bag of flour without squeezing. Good for holding a pile of papers together in lieu of a filing cabinet. Great to hold the unlimited, ever increasing number of user's manuals, warranties, etc. Handy for shoving a wet towel and bathing suit in a suitcase, etc.

I purchased these for a recent vacation. I actually used them to pack with. I rolled up items and put them in the bag and made sure to remove all the air. I also put items that I didn't want to leak into my suitcase. It worked great for both uses. I have used in the past to put dirty beach shoes and/or bathingsuits. I like these better than the bags that don't have the zipper I always have a hard time ensuring they are closed properly.Of course they are great to put food items in including bread.

Hard to find size - 2.5 gallon zip close sanitary bags perfect for collecting our oversized community garden produce for delivery to the food pantry -for zucchini squash and large leafy kale, chard, etc. Figured a special size like this might be available online only. Hefty brand excellent quality, durability and ease of use. Hope we can figure out how to recycle these (all sizes). We have about 1,100 pounds a year donate, but huge waste of zip lock style bags because food storage bags cannot be recycled in many localities. They will not decompose by themselves in a landfill. Help!

I used to be able to find these at my local grocery store, but then about a year ago, they stopped carrying them. As a teacher, I use these in my classroom frequently. They hold 9x12 and 10x13 envelopes very well, and the bags are able to easily close with the envelopes standing up. I am able to keep lesson materials organized in envelopes, then I put units together in a bag. I also organize things around the house in this same manner (i.e. operating manuals or things I plan to scrapbook.) I also use them to store holiday decorations. These bags are a very convenient size. I'm so glad I could find them here, because I can no longer find them in any stores.

We looooove these things. We sort out all the Barbie accessories, put the American Girl doll clothes in these, to organize different Melissa and Doug food playsets, etc. We grab one quick when we want to take along pieces to a playset to take to Grandma's. They are great to store water bottles, baby bottles, things that could leak in another bag or in the car. The zippers last well through dozen's of opening and closings. Sometimes the zipper does end up losing it's seal and no matter how hard we try to finagle the seam again it won't close - so we end up reordering more here :) But overall - lasts up to a couple years through heavy use here with 4 kids. Used to buy at any grocery store but my area no longer has the jumbo sizes :/
