The business
I've worn Caterpillar boots exclusively for a while now, from the rugged steel toe variety through the suede everyday type to this, the cool top of the heap variety. I just love the combination of excellent design, practicality and relative comfort. Lacing them up is a pain, but when they're done up you know you're foot and ankle are secure, so it's worth it. Although these particular cats could cope with anything, I avoid punishing use in them because the finish is just so good and they would be presentable pretty much anywhere, but only if I look after the surface of the leather. So I don't wear them every day, but I kind of miss them when I'm wearing my other cats!

Good product at a fair price.
The boots arrived quite quickly. They are well made and look better than I expected. They fit very well, and are quite comfotable. I am very satisfied with my purchase. A good product at a good price.

Not durable or long-wearing
I have worn Cat boots over many years and bought these as they were described as being waterproof with 'durable rubber' soles and 'long-wearing unbeatable performance'.I bought them less than a year ago and only started wearing them again recently after the summer. They have only had light wear. The leather tops still look new, as does most of the rubber sole. However, the other day I heard a squelching sound when walking on tiles: one of the grips on the heel had worn through as you can see in the photo. This was really disappointing as the boots looked good and were comfortable. Some of the sole seems to be hollow, while other parts seem to be solid rubber. Why?I would not advise buying these boots if you want them last. I have Cat boots I still wear for working in and they have lasted years.

Great boots. Will last as long as you take care of them.
Great boots, fitted perfectly and very comfortable. Like any leather boots, the quality will only last as long as you want it to i.e by taking care of them, these boots should last a very long time. I've had them 6 months now and they are like the day I bought them. A decent waterproofing spray and clean using a decent quality spray and leather cleaning product every 2 or 3 weeks and they'll last. Just don't be an idiot with them essentially.

Great boots, waterproof and look great
I wasn’t sure how they’d fit but they’re true to size, I’ve worn them in rain and they stayed dry. Have been very warm all winter and look good enough to wear to the pub. Probably not hardy enough as proper work boots but I wasn’t expecting them to be. Well worth it for what I need them for, warm winter boots for rainy days and muddy walks.

Really disappointing
Really disappointed, after 4 months of moderate use I’ve already worn through the heel of both boots - you can hear it squelch when they’re wet.Despite them being a comfortable well fitted boot I’d have expected them to last longer for the price I paid (£83).I wore Cats for years as they were reliable all year round and always fit me well but a couple of pairs a few years ago (leather separated from the sole within just a few months) put me off. I decided to splash out again as cheaper boots weren’t lasting me long enough, but turns out they lasted a lot longer than these!
