In this multi-product listing I'm reviewing the 4 metre, 4 tonne strap.Quality of materials and manufacture appears to be okay, and the stitching is neat. This is a tubular nylon webbing strap with a bungee inside, to help keep it off the road if the distance between vehicles occasionally closes, which is inevitable when towing. So, this is a good feature, and prevents the strap being damaged. Every car should have one of these because you never know if and when you might become stuck somewhere.The ends are terminated in solid steel hooks with flap gates, and they're designed to attach to your cars towing eye. Many folks don't know where the towing point is on their vehicle, and it's worth educating yourself courtesy of your owners manual. before the need arrises. Usually a screw-in eye is located in the boot along with the jack, and it screws in to a towing point found beneath pull-out covers in the front and rear bumpers.It's worth remembering that this is designed to tow cars, not trucks or tanks. You need to consider the shock loading rather than the outright weight of the vehicle, and it's important to increase tension slowly and pull away gently when using a towing line. I have no way of testing the strength of this line to verify the 4 tonne claim, but it certainly seems capable of towing a normal car, and I'm happy to trust it to do that. The worst that could happen is a breakage, which would be inconvenient, but not dangerous. In my time I've towed broken cars with all manner of odd things and survived to tell the tale, and compared to that, this line is luxurious. It even comes with a neat storage bag to keep it tidy.NOTE:One reviewer stated that there's a metal wire inside this line, but this is an error, and the load is taken entirely by the webbing. The solid thing you can feel inside is the bungee.

Husband is used to using these and was pleased with the carry case, set up and strength. Seems decent enough quality to the job. No concerns and pleased with.

This smart rope with its interesting elasticated space saving design now resides in the boot of my car under the floor with the spare wheel. I'm rather hoping it never gets used, but it's there should the need arise. I like that it comes with a handy bag to keep it stowed tidily and I'm fascinated by the elastic design. It would appear the main function of the elastic is to reduce the space it takes up, but it might also help during the towing process as it should possibly keep the tow rope off the ground and reduce the opportunity for the rope to be driven over by the towed vehicle in some circumstances.The rope is rated for 6 tonnes which should be more than I can envisage needing with my vehicle. It does appear to be well made and I'm fairly confident it do the job required if the need arises.

Comes complete with fixingsideal for wrapping around the tow bar (not the tow ball) and attaching it to itself for greater security - and the other end is then attached to the front tow lug on the vehicle to be towed (tow lugs are fairly standard on most modern vehicles)it's a well made tow rope !!

It pulled 1400KG on the flat, but I was very careful in case it broke.I can not test the 4 tonne claim.The workmanship is not great, The hooks only seem attached by the stitching, In the main body I can feel an internal wire or cable but this seems to end where my thumb is in the photo (on both ends).I am not expert but the poor look of the workmanship makes me doubt it (see photos)

they worked great, recommend doubling up just for safety if possible, but was able to lift the front end of a F250 with a plow back onto the road - don't try this at home - would buy again.

Comes in it's own bag to keep everything together, very clean. The shackles seem to be very stout. Haven't had to use it yet but I in under the back seat of my F250 in case I need it. Cheap insurance to get you out of a tough spot.

tow rope arrived today. appears to be very high quality. Have not used it yet but should be good

Great strength seems like will find out how strong when I use it.
