Simple Photocell
It was cheap. Easy to install. The lens cover isn't installed very well. One of them popped off. Hasn't affected it in any way yet, but also hasn't been much rain. The second was a backup anyway so if it goes out I have an extra.

Product is very good.It was packaged in plastic which was smart because a detergent bottle in the same shipping box got it's lid broken some way & leaked out the entire bottle into the shipping box, ruining the other things in the box except for the good packaging of the electric eyes.

Perfect match
Needed to replace the photo cells in our flood lights and after taking down the model number, found these to be the exact match. Replaced the old one and the lights now come on at dusk and go out at dawn.Highly recommend.

Not great
Cheap photocell. Supposed to be sealed but I have replaced many after just a few months showing water in the eye. Wires are too short also making install in a pole difficult.

It's actually rain-tight!
We get a lot of rain here. When I first had to replace an old photocell, I grabbed whatever brand they were selling at the big-box hardware store, which was also labeled "rain tight". It was pretty expensive - and it failed after less than a week from moisture.So I ordered a couple of random cheap photocells from Amazon, this being the first one I tried, which cost the same amount for two switches that I had previously paid for the one. Here we are now, over one year and about a hundred thunderstorms later, and it's still holding up great. It goes on when it's supposed to and it goes off when it's supposed to. There's literally nothing I can complain about.I don't know about the size/shape thing that other reviews are criticizing, all I know is it's the exact same size and shape as the hardware-store variety and the old one it replaced. Seems to be a standard size. There's also a "mini" size, but this isn't mini, it's just regular.
