Beautiful color backsplash
Looks great as a backsplash! Received compliments already in how nice it looks and it was so easy to put up!

Beautiful but not sticky enough
I read the reviews that these tiles don’t stick too well and they were accurate. However, the tiles are beautiful and easy to cut. I plan on gorilla gluing them down for a more secure bond.

Beautiful and easy
Great tiles. The color is beautiful (looks a little blue in the picture, but is a lovely green). Tiles were easy to cut to size and easy to apply. I did use some extra adhesive (a spray on) because someone recommended it, but am not sure if it was necessary or not. Very happy with them!

Spend the money! Don't buy cheap
I have used SmartTile brand self adhesive tiles for years now. Humble brag,I even wrote a DIY article for an RV DIY site years ago. This brand just keeps getting better and better. I decided to use a modern looking tile in my new kitchen. Here are some tips to keep your project looking as sharp and realistic as possible!Buy one box more than you need! Just like regular mortar tiling, you will make mistakes. Having extra is essential to make your project go smoothly.Take your time! Sure you can eyeball your cuts and how you line up your tike. A cheap laser level help to keep your tile looking really professional! Use a heavy duty pair of scissors. Measure over and over again and dry fit your tiles before adhesion. If your backslash is higher than your SmartTiles, consider turning them on end. It's much easier to cut away excess and continue your repeat (running left to right, for example) than to make new cuts from extra tiles. Mine were 12"x22". But my backslash was 14" high. So every time required and extra 1/4 of a new tile. Had I taken the time to turn the tile sideways, I wouldn't have had so many cut to make :/Smoothly your seams to ensure a seamless overlap. There are tiny letters to show where the repeat is.All in all, very pleased with this current project! I have enough to run the tiles up both sides of my window, but for now it looks really nice! And if I decide to change or go with real tile,I simply peel them off and start again.

There's issues, poor packaging
I have used Smart Tiles before in another rental behind the stove and they were alright. I decided to spend a little more on these tiles (a beige-pink) because they matched the granite. Unfortunately, I won't be buying this brand again.I was disappointed how they arrived. The corners are VERY important when you need 4 of them to overlap. I urge the folks who manage the packaging design to put cardboard protectors on each of the 4 corners before wrapping the package in plastic wrap.Other things to note:- There were distinct gray lines running across the tiles in various spots. It was very hard to photograph so I added some red arrows. These tiles are in a low light area so it's hard to see them unless you're 2-3 ft away.- Some of the raised gel "tile" did not cover all of the tile area.- Some of the raised gel tile had uneven lines.I'm not sure how long these will last behind the stovetop with water vapor if the corners are bent/uneven. The adhesion seems okay, but it's too early to tell.In April 2025, I paid $39 for 5 sheets at the time ($156 total for 20 sheets) and used 19 to do this. This may be a good option for those that don't care about these cosmetic issues and are okay with this price. They were easy to cut using a ruler as a straight-edge and box cutter. They are a pretty color and design and will work until I move out.

Do not buy
We bought a ton of these a few months ago to put as our backsplash in our kitchen. At first it looked great and couldn’t be happier. Now the tiles are all falling off and peeling off the wall. Wish we could get refunded.

Could be very good, needs clearer instruction.
These self-adhesive tiles are thin and flexible making them easy to cut. They look like tiles and when I leaned them against the wall above my sink and stove the illusion of tile is good. The instructions make these easy to install.I haven't installed mine, however for several reasons. My main concern is that the instructions do not indicate if they can be removed, or how to remove them. Removal is an important part of adhering things to walls.I will be using mine to line a serving tray. Since they're waterproof these will be outstanding for craft projects. If these can be removed relatively easily without damage I would purchase more to use as a backsplash.
