Solid build, good clean cut
Whilst the handles of these secateurs aren't padded they are comfortable in the hand and easy to use. They are bypass secateurs so will be good for most light pruning jobs around the garden. The spring has the required amount of strength and provides a nice amount of pressure. In operation they are nice and sharp and give a clean cut on small stems (rose bush pruning), softer stems (Evening primrose stems) as well as small woody vegetation (ageing rosemary). The locking mechanism holds the blades shut securely when applied. All in all a decent pair of secateurs for a reasonable price. In my opinion they will struggle against anything too woody or large and it remains to be seen how long the sharpness lasts, but early impressions are good.Recommended.

Review
I just think it wasn’t sharp enough and the lock was broken when I got this product it did not lock and the package was all opened up but other than that this would be a great tool I would highly recommend it to anyone for diy or gardeners. I finally got it sharpened and it worked 100% just didn’t lock but I didn’t really need it too.

Good clean cuts, basic, big hands
These secateurs cut as well as some top brand names. The cuts were clean without too much effort. Quite basic design, the closed lock is easy to use, the spring is firmly in place and the handles are of a non slip matt covering. The down side is the span of them opened. I don't have small hands but I have to keep these partially closed just to hold them. I find my thumb up at the top of the handle and the tips of 3 fingers just around the other handle - quite uncomfortable and not not ready for use

Good quality budget secateurs
These secateurs have a nice weighty feel about them and seem to be strongly constructed from reasonable quality materials. They fit nicely in the hand and have a decent textured, non-slip coating on the handles. The spring is just the right strength, making the secateurs easy to use, and the locking catch is well-designed, strong, and easy to flick on and off as required. There are some instructions on the back of the packet but these are written poorly and are difficult to understand. The main thing to remember is to clean and oil the blades after each pruning/cutting session. The blades produce a nice clean cut through all sorts of growth, including deadwood, and up to quite a reasonable diameter; certainly large enough for most day to day gardening tasks.Only time will tell how long the blades will stay sharp and how good the stainless steel is, but so far I’ve been quite impressed, given that they only cost around ten pounds.

nice for pruning thin branches
nice pruner for gardening. i've ordered to use for pruning flowers and tiny tree branches and worked as expected.sharp and comfortable. however i'm not sure if i'll be using for a bit thicker branches since it doesnt feel it can handle. (better to keep in mind this is aimed to pruning not cutting rough branches etc.)has a secure lock as well as nice grip when using.overall i'm happy with this pruner and would recommend.
