Works great and easy to use
Used this to hang shelves and it found studs with no problem. The screen is clear, and the beeping helps a lot. I’m not super handy, but this made the job way easier. It even picked up a pipe I didn’t know was there! Definitely worth it and feels solid in your hand too. Great tool to add in the new homeowner collection

Very good stud finder for everybody
This stud finder is the first one, at least for me, that allows for different depths and different types of items under the drywall. It is very good because it increases the overall accuracy of the tests. You will not try to drive a nail into the water or an electrical pipe. Also, you can see how far from the drywall pipe is located and choose the right nail or screw to attach what you need to the wall. This device is well-designed and easy to use, the ergonomics is also good, and the device is easy to use. I have been using it for only a few days and cannot tell anything about the battery life, but based on the overall quality of the device, I can suggest that it should be very good. I definitely can recommend buying this stud.

Simple functionality and it just works!
The media could not be loaded. This electric stud finder is great for finding wood and metal studs. You have half an inch, 1 inch and 1 inch and a half. The metal scan mode detects metal up to 2.36 inches deep. It has an AC scan mode as well. That finds live unshielded AC wires up to 2 inches deep. I love the simple functionality and just running off of one 9-volt battery is super cool. The readout speed is instant And the durability feel solid. The brightness on the screen is easy to read and there’s also no unnecessary clutter.

Meapro "me a pro" (LOL) TH710 Stud Finder
Seems to work as described in the instructions. I read them twice, as Amazon states this tool is often returned for 1 reason or another. I was a little annoyed by the AC indicator, which kept coming on as I scanned over studs, 10 in ductwork, a gas line, and power wires behind the wall. I already knew where they all were, but I needed confidence as to their location. The beeper is very quiet, and the battery barely lasted long enough for all my measurements. I suspect the weak 9 volt battery was the culprit. Simplicity of design and decent display make it a good tool to have. Do yourself a favor and buy a good spare 9 volt battery.

Has no reliability
In the Stud mode, the scanner continued to flash CAL (Calibrate). Instructions say "Note: In cases of the screen "CAL" icon flashes and the buzzer alerts when moving the device, it may be incorrectly calibrated, please move the device to a different position to re-calibrate." That made no difference. But then I found where the instructions say "Note: It is important to wait for the calibration completed (2-3 seconds) every time before moving the device." That did work, but it takes a few more seconds than that.It gives different results on stud location when I keep passing over the same area. I only use 1-1/2" mode to identify studs, and it rarely indicates the EDGE of the stud, but usually indicates just the CENTER location (which doesn't bother me as long as it's accurate). Instructions say "Hold the device steady, parallel to the studs, and do not rotate the device". But the purpose of the device is to identify studs, so holding it parallel to vertical studs that you know are present is one thing, but what about cross-studs (between the vertical studs) that are horizontal and usually halfway up the wall? Later I slid it across a wall where I already know the stud locations (every 16”) and it identified studs every few inches instead. Then I used it in the METAL mode to identify the metal corner brace that runs up the outside corner of the wall, right under the surface, that I know is there because I saw it when the baseboard was removed. Instructions state that the tool continues to re-calibrate it's own sensitivity during metal scanning. I don't know how to translate that. I held the tool vertically as well as horizontally while slowly sliding it up the wall corner and the tool showed nothing. Later I tried it again and this time it sporadically showed metal when holding the tool vertically, and nothing when holding it horizontally. It just simply has no reliability.

Great for around the house projects
I thought this stud finder was terrible at first. It couldnt find anything in my wall. I ended up testing it all over my apartment and it worked perfect everywhere except the wall I have to hang a heavy tv from. After some research it turns out I have 1 wall in my place that is heavily insulated due to loud machinery on the other side. I cranked the thing up as high as i could for depth but this wall was built to hide crimes. Montresor would be impressed. I couldnt get reliable results unfortunately. For every other wall in my place it works really well. For the price you cant go wrong. I ended up just knocking on the wall to find the stud then decided against putting tv on the wall.
