1st impressions are fantastic!
I have to be honest I had a bit of a reservation due to the cost. I’ve used Recips before but these have been wireless and have been expensive.I have recently taken apart decking and the base was too thick to use a hand saw as I’d used for the decks. This thing flew through all the boards (24) with ease*. I started at 5pm and was complete by 5:30!Hopefully stays the course but early indications are fantastic.* I ordered spare blades thinking they would be needed but the blade I used hardly looked used at all.

not that great
I've been using this saw on some DIY projects around the house. It's got a decent amount of power for its size. The 710w motor cuts through most wood without much trouble. And, the variable speed control lets me adjust the cutting speed depending on the material I'm working with. It also comes with three blades for cutting wood, metal, and even frozen materials, which is handy. But I found few downsides. It's a bit heavy, which can make it tiring to use for extended periods. Also, it tends to vibrate quite a lot, which affects the precision of the cuts.

Perfect for wood - decent selection of blades
The media could not be loaded. My husband has been using this for cutting pieces of wood to size to fit his engraving machine. It gives a good, clean cut at a decent speed. It's relatively easy to use, with the blades locking into place easily. There's a selection of 3 different blades included, each suited for cutting different materials. My daughter has also used it with her cosplay creations, for cutting through plastic and thick foam pieces without issues. It's a solid build and quite heavy, but easy to grip as it has a good rubber coating. There's a trigger to the handle to start cutting - there's also a lock button that can be switched on to keep the saw on without constantly pressing the trigger (good if you're cutting through thicker materials).Another reviewer noted the vibrations that it makes whilst in use. It does vibrate quite a bit, but not anymore than my husband expected. However he's only using it for smaller sized pieces of wood. He said that it could well be an issue if you were using it for bigger items that take longer to cut. It will really depend ultimately what you want to use this for and whether it's right for you.The saw comes boxed along with 3 different blades, an Allen key (for adjusting the positioning of the blade guard) and full instructions.

Great for hacking through thick wood or trees
This is great for hacking through thick woodUnlikely to get a neat finish with this so for "detail" cuts this is not the saw you want but for chopping down a free this is perfect

Dangerous faulty electrics
The media could not be loaded. Was working fine then suddenly started sparking inside the unit. Overheating the blade in seconds. Very dangerous! Happened the day after the return date so have to go through the galaxpro website. Will update on their customer service.

Very heavy duty
I ordered this and a circular saw from the same manufacturer, a new name to me, with the intention of using them in a loft renovation I recently started, my old arms being somewhat tired of doing anything manually.Unfortunately the day I ordered I ended up in hospital and though home now it will be some time before I can use them in anger, this review is purely based on first impressions and will be updated in a few weeks once I'm back to full fitness.First off, this is heavy and gives the impression it can take some serious abuse, ergonomically not feels fine in the hand and whilst I can't cut anything at the moment I have tested all functions as far as I am able without any issues.I'm looking forward to getting my hands dirty with this 😃
