A Gorgeous, pretty holiday novelty decoration!
I bought this Thomas Kinkade Christmas- themed beautiful work of art exactly a year ago during the 2014 holidays. It's a pretty, colorful novelty tabletop decoration that lights up and plays holiday melodies with a train going around a circular track( halfway inside a tunnel )on the far left side. Of course, it has a giant Santa on the other opposite side with a sculpting hammer-like tool ;but, it would have been so cooool if the Santa Claus' right arm moved up and down in an arc -swinging /hammering motion (somewhat like how other animatronic /motion Christmas light figures do that you see on some front lawns at night.) The music playing from this is very nice with high quality sounds. Although it plays the holiday merry melodies in the same order every single time it's turned on, it is really fun to listen to- you can't complain about the sound quality .As for it's size , it's about a cubit long or about the length of your elbow to the top of your middle finger. My only big real complaint about this novelty decor item (and mostly what downgraded my rating to 4 stars) is that the Merry Christmas ice sculpture doesn't light up that much. I wished that the ice sculpture letters (which say "Merry Christmas", no offense, political correctness crowd) just lit up even more than they did. It would look so much better if they were just a little bit more illuminated. The only other minor complaint I have about it is that it's sometimes hard to turn it on with the turn dial located on the backside- especially when you have the back of it set up close against a wall as I do in my living room. This whole collectible sculpture is covered in glitter, so just like most holiday stuff, you're going to get glitter all over your hands handling or even touching it. In all, it's a pleasure to see it powered on and a wonderful conversation piece for family & friend visitors during these holidays! To me, it was certainly worth the price that I paid for it and it's a timeless work of art!

Nice
I'm not a Thomas Kinkade collector, I just bought this for my daughter for Christmas. We had a cheap village with a moving train since she was a baby. Last Christmas, she broke it and it was one of her favorite Christmas decorations. I decided to get a new one last minute and found this. It is certainly pretty and works well. But the price is steep if you do not appreciate the artist, I suppose.
