I like this little tool because it put new line on 5 of my reels without any problem.

Easy to use
This makes spooling new line onto your reel very easy. It securely holds the reel and the spool and then you just have to crank the spool to add the line.

Makes spooling easy
This trick little rod makes spooling line onto your fishing reel easy. Works with both spinning and casting reels. Fast and easy to mount up your reel and spool of line. The spool spins/rotates/wobbles freely to let the reel pull the line however it wants. Fits most any reel, except for the biggest salt water reels and spools. We have a 10000 size reel and spool of 40 lb line, and it just barely fit. The spool and reel are less than 2" apart, just had to go a little slower. If you do your own reel maintenance or like to switch your line types, this is a useful tool to have.

Easy way to spool a reel
Much easier than a pencil and my feet and makes it way easier to control the tension on the line while spooling. The spool holder doesn't firmly attach to the rod. It stays in place pretty well while using it as long as the line tension is kept up but if you tip it up when moving it, the spool holder will fall right off. Would be nice to have a push pin to lock it in place and still be removable kind of like an adjustable table leg or tent pole. Otherwise it does a pretty good job and I was able to re-spool a couple of reels much quicker and easier than previously. The only downside is that you have to take the reel off the rod it is mounted to and mount it to this device, then remove and put back on the reel. If you have a 2 piece rod, you may be able to just put the spool holder on the end of the main piece but I only have a couple of those and I rarely use them. Tension is easy to adjust and so far every spool I've tried has fit.

Life saver
An anglers least favorite part having to respool their reel. This fancy contraption makes that nightmare super easy. Fits every reel I’ve put on it. Built very well gets the job done!

I would recommend searching online on how to properly use
I did two reels without thinking there was a special way to have to spool on and wasn't able to put as much on as I was on the third one. After watching a video on a different type of spooler, I was able to use it more effectively and really maximize the yardage on the last reel.
