Very powerful little tool!
As a DIY mechanic (as often as possible), i am very happy with the purchase of this VIDENT iSmartDiag510PRO Wireless OBD2 Scanner. As someone who keeps my cars for a long time and does as much work as possible myself, the ability not only read, but also to perform bidirectional function resets was the reason i chose this product. I went with the PRO model for its 28 resets to give me more options when servicing my vehicles. Also, the availability of future updates without any subscription fees, which can make a scanner unaffordable to the casual home use, means that this scanner will support other cars i may own or work on in the future.Setting up the scanner for first time use was very straightforward. After downloading the iSmartDiag from Google Play Store, then downloaded the appropriate datasets for my car models from VIADENT made the blutooth connection from the car to my phone. The setup interface walked me through each step and in a matter of minutes i was able to perform a full diagnostic scan of the car (Honda Pilot). I tested this on my other two vehicles; cars (Honda CRV, and Volvo S80). I had no problems using it on any of the three vehicles and it reliably read the make, model, and VIN of each vehicle. At the end of each scan, the results for each module tested were displayed and I really appreciated the ability to email the scan report to myself (or a friend, or mechanic if needed) to research the problem further at a later time if needed.Following an oil change, the bi-directional capabilities to allow me to reset my oil light. Going forward, i found that the scanner will allow me to perform these other resets when needed:Honda Pilot & CRV:• Oil service light reset• Brake pad replacement• ABS bleeding• Electronic throttle sensor (TPS) reset• Tire pressure sensor (TPMS) reset• Injector codingVolvo S80:• Oil service light reset• Steering Angle Sensor (SAS) reset• Electronic throttle sensor (TPS) reset• Injector codingBeing newer cars, the scans of both Honda’s didn’t return any result; however, several ‘hidden’ (no warning light on the dashboard) on the older 2004 Volvo S80. Rather than sit in the hot car, I appreciated the convenience of being able to email the status report to myself to research at a more convenient time to determine if these are ‘non-issues’, or something that may warrant further investigation.I am happy with my purchase of this scan tool. I like the small form factor that allows me to keep it handy in my primary driver, or take on trips and let me know if an unexpected warning light needs attention sooner rather than later. Also, great peace of mind for those times when I do have to take one of the cars to a 'real' mechanic. The ease of operation, useful bidirectional features (which will more than pay for the cost of this tool!), and ongoing updates were the reasons I chose this tool. Hope this review helps you in your purchase decision.

Advanced, powerful, easy to use and best value for money
The iSmartDiag510PRO is a legit auto diagnostic tool that works great with both domestic and import vehicles without any subscription fees. Plus, it comes with lifetime updates! Setting it up and using it on either Android or iOS devices has been a breeze. This device will effortlessly perform quick scans and in-depth diagnostics on nearly all modern vehicle systems. It covers most OBD II functions too, like resetting service indicators, reading and clearing stored fault codes and graphing up to 4 data PIDs simultaneously. It's been super handy that it suggests possible causes for the detected fault codes. On top of that, it also offers bi-directional control of selected components, making component-level testing and troubleshooting easy, and saving you time by isolating the problems within the vehicle, guiding you to the best repair solutions. If you're in the market for a compact wireless bi-directional scan tool, whether you're a pro or a DIYer, the iSmartDiag510PRO is definitely the best bang for your buck!

Pretty cool device
What else can be said. It has birectional control capabilities and can read all systems. It's really easy to set up. Took me less than a minute. That said it doesn't necessarily have all the functions as your full dedicated scanner. But the ability to turn your everyday phone or tablet into a professional scanner, Bravo 👏The reason why he gets four stars. For some reason the BMW module will not install. I don't know what that's about. But it's clearly a glitch of some sort.

Work great for 2012 grand Caravan, but did not even communicate for my 2000 Suzuki grand Vitara
Pretty good price for what it does if it works with your vehicle the main car bought it for was my 2012 Dodge grand Caravan and it read me nearly as much information as the big $2000 scanners, but for some reason will not communicate with my 2000 Suzuki grand Vitara. I guess just check to make sure whatever car you mainly care about is the one that it works with

Problem with app
I've spent about 2 hours installing updates, clearing the cache & data, reinstalling the app but the only options I get is to connect to A BMW, Mini or Rolls Royce. It does work well diagnosing my BMW, but it's supposed to work on hundreds of brands.........I got 3!Customer service through the app is non existent and the email they give you is invalid.

Turn your phone into a complete bidirectional scan tool. What an amazing product
So the setup on this thing was relatively easy, I mean, it was a little weird. You gotta set it up login with a pin or whatever. Make an account and activate your device. I wish that part was a little bit smoother, but as for the functionality of the product, that's awesome, I mean, this thing can do things, my $1000 scan tool can do. right off of my phone, which makes it so easy, it's a little bit confusing the user face of it takes a while to get used to and understand but once you do I mean, there's so many options of things you can do on here. It's pretty amazing. Honestly, I've had other obds that hook up through my phone, but none of them have ever been byUBidirectional, so this is the first for me. Just shows how far they have come. And I totally support vident in their products I get this thing. 5 stars are all recommended to anybody like I said you can do. A ton of special functions and the bidirectional control it's a huge plus for any d I Y er, or just somebody who wants to know about their car, if you were wanting to buy a scan tool, this is definitely the 1get if you're looking for something that connects to your phone
