Perfect EDC pocket light
I definitely to upgrade from the original version 1 light because it is even smaller, puts out more light and lasts longer. I keep this iny pocket and use it most days at least once and several times a day quite often.I was using it to do work on my daughter's car and used the magnetic tail cap to stick it to the the side of the main bolt on the fan belt pulley to illuminate my the part I was working on. She was so impressed she stole it and I had to buy a second one. She was fascinated with it's high performance and that it just disappeared when clipped into her pocket. She's a petite teenage girl.I recognize that everyone carries this light in their packet. It's to easy to not do it.

Very good inexpensive, easy to carry
The size will make it very easy for most to carry. The AA battery type makes it easy to keep it running. Finally a version with mode memory! The previous versions always started in low!The light levels offer a pretty good spread. It has mode memory! (stays in the last mode used when you turn it on again)Still AA batteryStill small size that will fit in a jeans coin/watch pocketNow has a magnetic tail (but sadly, no momentary on)This is one of the best AA lights you can buy at any price point. If you want a back up light, or know someone that really should (but won't) carry a light, this is an excellent option. If you don't want to carry it all the time, throw a lithium battery in it. Then, just throw it on the glove box or back pack; and, it will be there when you need it.

small & bright
Small & bright, read the instructions to know there's 3 brightness modes. Keep clicking it. Wasn't sure what the extra battery holder was for.

Great little light
Good battery life, the lowest setting is great for walking dogs and seeing outside without using a lot of juice. I bought and lost 2 of these at work. Upgraded to a larger Fenix with a holster which my employer bought for me. I plan on buying another E12 for camping, it was my favorite camping light. Tiny to carry, and only used the low setting for the most part.

Checks every box except one for me.
I finally lost my fully functioning Fenix E12 V1 after carrying it virtually everyday for over ten years. I liked the grip length of the V1 to hold and preferred it over the shorter V2 that I just leave in the car. This V3 seems to have everything needed for a 1AA light, it's a good size, it can tailstand, the back of the light is magnetic, it has three very usable light modes, a simple interface, has a pocket/visor clip, , and it's relatively affordable. The only thing I do not like about this V3 is the greenish output tint, otherwise it woud be PERFECT.It does make me realize how nice the natural tint on my 1AA Acebeam lights are, unfortunately they all have an extended tactical switch making them less versatile than the Fenix E12.Now if it will function as long as my V1 did for over ten years that will be great.

Ok flashlight
I carry this flashlight in my small alpaca pouch it's ok. Low and medium modes are very low. I saw a review on youtube where he said he cleared out a warehouse on low setting! Its a ok flashlight to carry in your car incase you drop something between the seats. I recently purchased the nitecore mt1A pro huge difference!
