These hives are very well made with sturdy metal corners and a good beeswax coating. Very pleased with how sturdy they are. Like them so much we're ordering more for our farm. They come disassembled in a flat pack box. There are a lot of small parts, but they aren't difficult to assemble for someone with a basic familiarity with hand tools. Depending on skill level and tools it takes about 2-4 hours to assemble one hive. Required tools are a screwdriver, crescent wrench and hammer. Drills with driver bits make it go faster. Assemble on a clean dry surface to avoid lint and dirt sticking to beeswax coating. Instructions are clear enough even though written by a nonnative English speaker. I recommend getting a "Plano" type box to sort the fasteners (screws, etc.) into and a bowl to hold them while working on assembly. Overall, very pleased.

This is a terrible Vendor and product! as listed in the description "No Assembly Needed" NOT! If you know anything about bee hive products, There about 400 pcs that wont go back into the box. And Amazon and the "3rd party" vendor...

Don’t expect this to be assembled at all.You have to put everything together.It says fully assembled but that’s not the case.It’s a nice hive and the communication was good. They offered me a discount but I would not buy again.

Yes you have to assemble it but with the clear instructions it's not that bad. It took me about an hour to put all the dividers and the boxes together but this is definitely worth the purchase, especially for new bee keepers. I was missing 2 of the black dividers but I did contact the company to see if they can ship two of them out for me. I will update my review once I receive the missing parts.

Very happy with my purchase. This hive arrived quickly and was super simple to assemble. Had it completed in 30 minutes. The plexiglass windows are so convenient, love to check in on my hive with very minimal disturbance to the bees. The base is very sturdy.
