Great coffee maker that delivers a tasty hot pot of coffee
This Gevi coffee maker is much better than the several Cuisinart coffee makers I purchased over the years. Those coffee makers spitted hot steam from the top, which required me to move it away from under the Kitchen cabinets to avoid damaging the cabinets wood & paint. Also, the Cuisinart pot always dripped coffee when pouring it into a coffee cup which the Gevi was a much better designed to not pour without dripping. The coffee I made from the Gevi also tasted better and I believe the different settings the Gevi offers were the reason. The cost was basically the same as the Cuisinart so I couldn’t be more pleased with this purchase.

Gevi Coffee Maker Ease of Use
A contemporary and modern design with a small size footprint for a12 cup coffee maker. If this is your preference this is your coffee maker. However, though it offers convenient features, I find its ease of use a little confusing. It takes a bit to get accustom to its menu display use. The manufacturer can do a better job with the user manual instructions, maybe add clear illustrations, to explain its features on how to use.

Lots of bells and whistles...
Loving touch screen devices as I do, I've looked for a touch screen coffee maker for some time and then one day, I open Amazon and find this dreamy looking Gevi Drip Coffee Machine with a touch screen. The instruction manual is written in English and the instructions are well detailed. And with the well detailed instructions, I'm assured that the coffee maker I received is faulty. The instructions are pretty clear, "Place the carafe onto the warming plate and press 'ON/OFF' to start your brew." Ahhh... if life was only so simple. That's not how the coffee maker I received works. Turn the device on, wait for it to stop flashing the time (about 3 seconds, does this with the time set or not and is annoying), then press coffee, then press ON. This is the only way I've been able to get this coffee maker to make coffee. The "Keep Warm" function... click it... time flashes... and when the hours/minutes are pressed, it jumps to 2 hours. I set the Keep Warm function last night to 2 hours, 1 minute and this morning when I started the coffee... I checked it again... the Keep Warm time, and it says 2 hours, 1 minute. Problem with this maker is that once it has completed brewing, the unit shuts off... the "warming plate" doesn't stay on and the coffee then of course goes cold. So, after it shuts itself off... I turn it back on; it does have the "Reheat" option. Looking at the manual to reheat... "To reheat, simply press REHEAT." Oh, ok... sweet! I have clicked "Reheat" and let it sit... nothing. Since the makers incorrectly documented how the device is started to make coffee, I also tried clicking "Reheat" and press "ON/OFF" (known to me to "start" brewing) so was thinking maybe "start reheating." Doesn't matter; following the instructions to a 'T' when using Reheat or Keep Warm, the device shuts off after a few minutes. The individual settings... roast, strength, infusion, those settings appear to set okay. The one thing I did not try on this to see how it works and if it would keep the device on is "Delayed Brewed." If Delayed Brew does work to keep the device on, there's at least a 30 minute delay which... I don't care how well I like this machine, it's not worth waiting 30 minutes for it to make coffee just to keep the warming plate on. I started a return and was going to have them send a replacement but after thinking about it, the other reviews for this maker, the GUI, and how it pauses the user for 3 seconds each time it's turned on or after certain buttons are pressed, and with a 45 minute round trip to drop it off at UPS to return it... this just isn't worth it. Sending it back, not getting a replacement, and giving it the 1 start it deserves because even with the individual settings roast, infusion, etc... it tastes the same as my coffee did with my old maker.

Coffee lovers!
I love this machine so much. I only gave it a 4 star as sometimes the display gets stuck and I have to reset the power or unplug it to get out of the current screen. Coffee comes out amazing!
