MEUS RACING +5mm TRX4M Axles Max 52° Steering for Traxxas TRX4M Defender/Bronco/K10/F150 1/18 RC Crawler (Black)

The MEUS RACING TRX4M axles are an awesome upgrade for the TRX4M platform. I used them with my MEUS MB18 build, and they paired perfectly. These axles really bring together great looks, solid performance, and durability—though I did run into some initial hiccups.Pros:Build and Looks: These are made from aluminum alloy and brass with an anodized finish. They feel super durable, and the diamond-cut diff covers and brass hubs look amazing.Performance: The combined weight (142g) adds a lot of stability. The 52° steering angle and isokinetic 3-section CVDs make turning buttery smooth, even at big angles. The wider stance (+5mm on each side) and 10° kingpin inclination give better stability and control.Options: It comes with two servo mount choices (laydown or upright), which is a nice touch. I went with the laydown mount since I used an upgraded servo it really helps with crawling.Gears: The metal helical gears and ball bearings are a big step up from the stock plastic ones—no comparison.Cons (at first):My initial set had an issue with the front axle helical gear—it was too short to stay in proper contact with the differential's big gear.There are no instructions included, which can make installation tricky if you’re new to RC builds.Once the Replacement Came In:MEUS Racing replaced the faulty axles quickly, and the new set was flawless. The axles spin smooth with zero binding, flex without any issues, and the turning radius is insane. The added weight and solid construction make them a game-changer for crawling.Final Thoughts:For the price, these axles are a great deal, especially with MEUS Racing’s excellent customer support. Whether you’re building a crawler for performance or just want something that looks sharp, these axles are worth it. They’ve held up great so far and really elevate the TRX4M. Highly recommended!

There are no instructions, the gears in the rear diff lock up every few turns, and the rod ends would not fit on the arms. Very nice looking product but overall function was absolutely terrible. Could be cool for show truck but not for something you wanna actually run.*update*Meus Racing reached out to inform me of a batch error with some axles and very kindly shipped a replacement set to me to correct the product quality error. The replacement set i received are extremely high quality and well manufactured. Servo fits snug and laid down with no binding from any amount of flex, axles spin fast and free of binding, and the turning radius is incredible on these. I will most likely purchase a pair for a trx4m monster truck build I'm working on. Thank you Meus, if you consider purchase these axles I highly recommend.

I ordered this but only received the rear axle, but a replacement was ordered immediately through Amazon. If the front is as nice as the rear when it gets here I’ll be totally happy. Nice weight, ball bearings instead of sleeves, metal helical gears instead of the plastic stock.

This would be 5 stars BUT,The axels themselves seem to be awesome. I took in previous reviews and understood the internal gears could be weaker than expected, along with the taper pins within the drive shafts have sheared off for some people while just testing to make sure everything works.I did not have any binding issues with the internal helical gears as others, however I have the same concerns that others have with this itemfirst off is the packaging. I'm sorry not sorry but if I am paying a premium price for a part, packaging is key to keep consumer confidence. 80 plus bucks for a bagged product???? I'm not sorry but NO. package it properly like every other brand does. Stop sending your product like a drug dealer in baggies. step up and use proper packaging this will ensure that end users dont have to deal with storage or transportation problems like dents and scrapes. Unlike putting your product within a packaging that can stand up to the transportation and bin storage. Literally makes it into a gamble if you get one that is stored well.Second off, the instructions. If you are a seasoned RC enthusiast who learned the ins and outs of modification then instructions are mainly secondary. however this is NOT beginner friendly AT ALL. You may have to look at review photos just to know where to put the steering links and even then you are probably going to use the wrong connectors, wrong link and of course the wrong screw. LOTS OF GUESSWORK if you dont know what you are doing.NO TUNING instructions. Have fun. No seriously if you dont understand what different tunes do to your vehicle then just stay away from this kit. you have to reprogram your servo when using the lay down mount. otherwise your steering is reversed no mater what.for me this product is a major turnoff unless you are seasoned and understand how things fit together. If the Traxxas TRX4M is your first RC or even first crawler, GO WITH TRAXXAS OR INJORA OR AWDRC!!!! Those brands include detailed instructions and tuning instructions. And have a better customer support ;3how can this product be five stars?1. use a higher grade metal for the taper pins, and the differential gears.2. AT LEAST, cardboard boxes with the MEUS logo on it and an item descriptionthey fit great, look great, but WISH the manufactures actually cared properly for their product. If this ever happens I will update the review.

I'd give 0 stars but it wont allow. I've literally just installed these on my truck. Testing everything and it just sheared a pin in the axle. Are you serious!!!!

Install was straight forward. They look and work great.

I used the brass Meus laydown mount and not the aluminum one that came in the kit. The brass servo mount is 8.2g heavier and the total weight ready to install was 140g more or less with the Meus 8.5kg coreless servo.Time will tell how they perform but I'm happy at the moment.
