Clear sounding but no bass - follow up
Follow up. Amazon streaming from the Tv and my phone have some settings be default in settings that really lower the quality. I changed these and the speakers sounds much better. I’d still like a little better sounding bass, but it no longer sounds bad like before. I’ve also tried FM stereo, and sounds the same as my Amazon streaming now. I’m no longer disappointed though and changed it from 2 stars to 4-These sounds very clear but I can’t get good sounding bass out of them. I bought a Sony stereo receiver with 100w power channel and changing the bass from 1 to 10 makes no difference. It’s mostly mid and high that I’m hearing. Almost annoys my ears. I went with these because HBL is a good brand and having cans around them I assumed the 8 in speakers would be good in my home gym. I have 2 in the ceiling and set them to 8 ohm. Regretting not just getting an all in one sound bar

Don't bother
Garbage.I only received 1 speaker and the grill cover was missing. The speaker did not sound good for the price. Polk audio RC60i is a far superior speaker and costs less.

Overpriced: Not as loud and less bass than I expected.
I thought with the hefty price tag and being JBL, that these would ROCK! Unfortunately, they do not go as loud as I had hoped and do not have as much bass as I expected. These are my 1st set of Ceiling Speakers. So, maybe it is just a learning lesson for me. Maybe I'll just have jam them so loud one day that I blow them up and have to buy a pair of speakers with more watts, etc.. Maybe tryout the 8" version over these 6.5's or just another brand altogether.
