Works but wow is it unintuitive!
This seems to be the kitchen sink version of an rs-485 to network gateway. Even as an electronics, programming, and network expert I spent hours getting this to connect to and pass messages from a temp/humidity sensor to a python program on the same network.It appears to support some relatively complex use cases such as auto modbus polling and mqtt, or acting as either a client or a server, ap or station, etc, but I had to wade through the manual, wiki, and a few tutorials before I found a setup that gave me what I needed.Meanwhile it took me les than an hour to do the same with an off the shelf can transceiver and a pi pico.This is powerful and versatile, and I’m sure that with tech support or a forum I could do quite a bit with it, but I’m afraid I’m probably not going to use it. With nearly a dozen long configuration pages in the web interface and cryptic manual I’m just not interested in long term maintenance, having to look up everything every time I need to adjust it due to a new WiFi network name or modbus parameter change.

As long as you know what you’re doing, this will get it done. No issues as of yet. Seems quality.
