It’s AC only, description shows AC/DC

It does NOT sense DC voltage
I was very doubtful with the description stating it was a DC/AC voltage detector. DC voltage dosen't have the sine wave motion of AC voltage, that is needed to create the field to cause the detection.It is a decent AC ONLY detector, but really isn't what it's description says.

Works and helps you keep safe
Having a tester pen is a critical safety item when dealing with electric wiring. I always shut down the breakers and then still test with the pen. This pen is a non-contact which means you just need to tap the pen against a wire or an outlet and it will sense the presence of live power. You don't need an exposed copper in order to get a read. Much easier and quicker. What I don't quite get is the temperature feature. I don't see the need for it, but it's ok, I just ignore it. I had other non-contact pens and they were significantly more expensive than this one.
