Product review:The mat is great! Its thick which means i don't need to worry about damaging my table and the measurements on the mat are extremely helpful. There have been occasions i have cut a bit too deep and made scratches but a few rubs and looks good as new. Its easy to clean with a simple wipe and doesnt slip.I love that it is large, which makes cutting my work much easier.Customer service review:The first order of the mat the corners were damaged and chipped. Along with some scratches on the mat. This was due to improper packaging for delivery as it was only wrapped in a clear plastic. Which provided very little protection to the item during delivery.When i contacted customer services about the issue, they were very helpful to resolve this and we were able to come to a resolution.Overall, i would recommend the mat as it is of very good quality. And the customer service was amazing and very helpful.

Good tool for crafting! Sturdy and self healing

I needed a cutting mat for some felt work I am currently doing, and it especially needed to be A2 size. I looked through all of the available mats, and found this 'Ansio' one. I was attracted to it because it stated it had the five layers, and also that it had both metric and imperial measurements featured on either side, and I can't lie, the price was very reasonable too. I also liked the light blue/green colourway.I received it by next day delivery, and so far I have used it for a number of pieces of work,and I am delighted with it.I am using 4mm thick felt, and am using a 60mm rotary cutter, and due to the thickness of the felt I have been using reasonable pressure, and so far the mat has been perfect. No marks on the surface, and more importantly, no marks on the table underneath!The printed grid lines are great when cutting, and using a ruler helps to reduce the need for drawing pencil/pen lines on the workpieces/fabric.It is a good weight, so when in use it doesn't move.I am very pleased with the product, and would recommend it to others to give it a try.You'll probably be pleasantly surprised.A few years ago I purchased a more well known branded mat, an A4 one, and I must admit I can't really tell the difference, this one does exactly what I wanted it to.It is very reasonably priced, great value for money.....and from what I have seen so far,(I have only had it a couple of days) it is living up to my expectations...and more.

We have had several of these mats, differing sizes, over time. They are all excellent and offer great value.I'll get the caution out of the way first...."Do not iron on your mat or don’t keep near a hot surface or in direct sunlight. Heat will cause your mat to warp., ALWAYS STORE THIS MAT IN FLAT POSITION., DO NOT BEND OR ROLL."the above is listed with the product description. And you MUST pay attention to that warning.I have needed to replace our recently purchased mat due to the heat from sun over a full day, causing it to warp and distort. It will not return to be flat. On the mat itself it warns you about keeping it out of direct sunlight.Please see photos.So, with the above caution in place....The mat itself is quite heavy and quite rigid. In fact I would go as far to say it is not flexible at all. Again there are warnings that it can't be rolled and must be stored at all times flat. For us that means placing it under the settee when we have finished using it.It doesn't particularly slip when placed on a wooden table, it does have some grip. The surface is smooth and easy enough to wipe clean. If you are using it as a cutting mat then it is good practise to alternate where you are cutting, to spread out that type of wear.So far ours have always cleaned well and not stained, the only time I have had one fade, meaning the printed lines and writing, is when using one for over a year as a mouse mat.The mat is two sided, my wife liking the "Metric" side for her sewing and craft measurements.As long as you accept its limitations of needing to be stored flat, and not rolled, and it must not be subjected to sustained periods of heat, then this mat is perfect and offers great value.Very much recommended as long as the limitations do not cause concern.I hope this review has been helpful.
