Bought this TV for my bedroom and replaced a 4 year old 50inch samsung. TCL has got the best TV remotes and google is the best OS for smart TVs. The colors look very good on the TV and the blacks get very dark. Whites look awesome and TV gets very bright. Settings is easy to navigate. FOR GAMING, it has 120hz refresh rate which looks super good and helps me stay on top. the TVs built in gaming mode is very good, I started playing games before i set up gaming mode and got scared due to there being a large enough delay in the response from XBOX to TV. after putting on gaming mode, it was perfectly fine with good response time. Speakers in TV sound good for a TV but I have my own surround sound set up anyways. But for the average ear, speakers sound pretty solid. Finally putting it together was so easy, didn’t even need 2 people. VALUE FOR MONEY, it’s very very good for the money, I paid $700. If you are thinking, just pull the trigger. Amazing TV

I bought this to replace a 5 year old TCL 4 series TV I bought on a Black Friday sale. I got the TV on a good deal and Amazon delivered it to my door undamaged in a couple days. No dead pixels and the stand was a lot nicer than I expected. The TV was a lot nicer than the TV it replaced. I mostly got the TV for the refresh rate and it's worth it for that alone. I'm pleasantly surprised at the overall quality and improved smart tv stuff. I don't use it but it's a lot better than my 5 year old tv's smart stuff. There is some weird thing where certain video game scenes will darken the picture. I don't know what it is but it doesn't bother me enough to complain but I'm sure there's some technical term for it and it's some type of failure but I'm like 'meh'.I'd recommend this TV and I was happy with buying from amazon. Amazon said I needed to schedule and be at home to sign but I didn't need to schedule or sign. The normal amazon delivery guy dropped off the tv same as any other package.I was shopping for tvs at Costco because of their warranty but they make these disposable and purposely make the warranty difficult so I'm fully prepared to replace the tv when I have issues. I got my TV at amazon at a price point to outweigh Costco's offered warranty.

I've had this for 4 months and I'm really impressed with the quality of the panel for the price. Obviously this is a budget option, so it's not going to win any awards when compared to super expensive models. But it does a great job for the casual viewing that I do, which is mostly tv shows, movies, and YouTube videos.A couple complaints I have that lower this from 5 stars to 4:1. There are some weird white artifacts that occasionally show up under white text on black backgrounds. I haven't figured out what is causing it, maybe some setting I have enabled, but it's still annoying.2. The smart TV software is Google TV. That's a matter of personal preference. The one thing I hate about it that I think is universal is that there is a bright light on the bottom-center of the display that is always on showing that the TV is connected to the internet. You can't turn it off if you're using the Google TV features. The only way I found is to factory reset the TV, don't setup any account, don't adjust any Google TV settings, don't join your wi-fi, just keep the TV as a "dumb" TV and plug in an Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, or even a separate Chromecast dongle and run all your streaming services through that. As soon as you start to use the smart TV functions of the TV, it'll turn that light on and it's super annoying when you're watching TV. Just ignore the smart TV functions and decline all the setup steps and it won't come on.Other than those small qualms, it's a great TV for general purposes. The picture is crisp. It's super bright, in fact, I usually lower the brightness to 10% at night because it's still super bright. This is a great TV for outdoors or a really bright room during the day because 100% brightness is like looking at the sun! To be honest, if you put up a fully white image on the panel, you can clearly see that it is not evenly lit and there are many flaws in the panel, but it's not at all noticeable when casually watching shows or movies.If you are a perfectionist, this isn't the TV for you. If you only want the BEST when watching films, this isn't for you. However, if you want to watch sports, shows, movies, and any other videos with high quality at an affordable price, then this TV is for you.
