The packaging this is sold in is very thin, and arrived bent, damaging the cardboard diorama to the point it isn't really usable. Beyond that, this set is a bit baffling. The included items are wildly inconsistent in scale, some of them aren't found in deserts, and the paint applications are completely nonsensical. Beyond that, most of these things won't be found together, not in anything that looks remotely like the habitat depicted in the diorama. Hard pass.

This is the perfect diorama set to create a desert scene. It comes with the diorama box that can be easily assemble. We were happily surprised by its size and the collection of painted animals that were included in the set. This is a great desert set that can be used for learning and play. It's a great project to do this summer and most children can do all of this independently. We are adding kinetic sand to our scene.
