Keyless Remote works for 2012 Ram Big Horn
My truck only had one remote, so I didn't want to take a chance of not having a back up. I contacted several places beforehand, to get an estimate of another remote. The cost was mind boggling. I saw these online and for the price, thought I'd give them a shot. Instead of taking them to a car dealership, I called my local locksmith. He came out and in 10 minutes, had both remotes programmed and the mini keys cut for only $75 instead of the big bucks the dealership wanted for just one remote.. Both remotes work just fine. He did mention that if they stop working, to take them to a jewelry shop or local store that sells the small batteries, because the ones that originally come inside the remote, are cheap batteries. Time will tell, but so far, I'm happy.I would have given this product 5 stars but the possible issue with the batteries is a concern.

I figured for the price, it was worth a shot since the dealership wanted $160 for a single remote and then $54 for programming. I received them quickly and immediately made an appointment to get them programmed (at the dealership). After about 15 minutes, the guy came back with my two, shiny, newly-programmed remotes. The worked flawlessly and I was only charged a single programming charge. On a side note, don't forget to ask them to cut the key for you. I initially forgot, but walked back in and talked to the guy that programmed them. He took me to the parts department and the guy cut them for me within a few minutes. Luckily, we were fans of the same NHL team, so there was no charge.Dealership:Remotes - $160 eaProgramming - $54 eaKey Cutting - Didn't even askAmazon Purchase:Remotes: $28 (for two)Programming: $54 (for two)Key Cutting: $0 (for two)Overall, a win-win for me. Will they stand the test of time? Who knows. Even if I have to replace them every year, it'll take a lot of these remotes to ever come close to what the dealer wanted for them.-Jeff2012 Dodge Ram 1500

Cheap cheap cheap. Both keys broke in some way. Still possibly better than buying OEM though
It technically worked (I have a 2014 Dodge Caravan), and for the price, I think it's worth the risk (hence 3 stars instead of 2). However, when the dealership programmed the keys, they accidentally broke the tiny plastic clip that holds the FOB onto the emergency key that the key ring clips onto. I can't clip that FOB onto my key ring, so it's now sitting in my emergency key drawer instead of on a key ring (the OEM remote from the dealership has a metal clip instead of a cheap plastic one like these ones do, so I'm guessing the OEMs won't break so easily). The other key in the 2-pack that I DO use on my key ring went dead when the battery died after 2 months of use. I tried to replace the battery, but the metal terminal that touches the side of the battery to connect it to the circuit board broke off. I didn't put very much pressure on it, so I'm convinced that it's just a poor design. After a lot of retries I was finally able to solder the clip back onto the circuit board, but I think it works only because I got very lucky; the place where the connecter clips onto the circuit board is very tiny and was not meant to be soldered with a traditional soldering iron.I'm giving this 3 stars because I would probably be forced to buy it again... $400 for the OEM parts (2 keys), or $60 for these. It's going to be these.

I have a 2010 Dodge RAM 1500. Bought it with 2 keys and then I lost one. These keys will save you a lot of money vs. purchasing from a locksmith or a dealer. FYI these keys do not accommodate remote ignition feature. OK for me as my truck doesn't have that. I had to have the dealer program one key and cut the emergency door key. I would have done the programming myself using the trucks capability, but you need 2 keys to begin with for that. I will now program my third key myself.I didn't give this 5 stars because I have a little trouble inserting the keys into the ignition. It doesn't go in as smoothly as my original Dodge key. Have to work with it a bit.

Non-permanent.
Hrm. One was a piece of junk and didn't work - the second we got programmed at a Dodge dealership, but ceased functioning after around 11 months of use. Alas.

I purchased a pare back in 2016 they arrived in a few days much faster than the forcasted delivery range Amazon.ca promissed. I own a 2010 Dodge Journey 4 cylender front wheel drive so I needed to get them programmed by a Chrysler dealer, booked an appointment and when I registered at one of the the reception stations the employee told me that there is a recall on my vehicle for an ignition replacement and that includes 2 brand new original Dodge remote phob entry keys so I ended up returning the clones to Amazon.ca.Before going to dealer I chcked both if they fit in my car's ignition and they did. I did a drop test of the clones before returning them to Amazon.ca...and here are the results:Dropped the first fob remote entry key from my chest height to a cement floor (I am 5.7) it disintegrated to 7 separated pieces...wow!!I attached my house key ring to the the second remote phob entry key and did the drop test 2 times and observed no problem.

Great replacement at a great price.
Great replacement remote. Chrysler wants over $400 for the same product ( after key cutting and reprogramming) As mentioned by other reviewers I made sure that the FOB actually fits into the keyhole before wasting money on the final setup. Great find at a great price. The seller and Amazon had this order at my doorstep in 3 days. Thanks.Update 12/29/16. The Dodge dealer was kind enough to charge me only one programming fee for both fobs and they also cut the emergency keys and as an added safety also changed the codes so that whoever finds our lost remote will not be able to start the van. Final Dodge bill was just under $90. I call it "Stupid tax" for loosing my keys in the first place. Amazon came to the rescue on this one. Thanks
