Homerun value!
Needed to replace a powered board, but didn’t want to spend a lot of money since I don’t use it very often. This board is perfect for my use. Everything I need, plus plenty of power and more controls than I typically use. The only negative is just the size and weight. It is quite bulky and heavy compared to other boards.

Works great especially for the price point.
If you follow directions and run 4ohm speakers this mixer is a beast. If you hook up 8ohm speaker mixer will start to shut down because it was not made to run 8 ohm speakers. Mixing mic or adding echo or any of dsp effects, it works perfectly.

what the? terrible mixer
this mixer was a huge letdown. Right out of the box, the power amplifier section was completely dead—no output at all. I tried different speakers, cables, and sources just to be sure, but nothing worked. It was essentially DOA.Even when bypassing the built-in amp and using it just as a mixer, the audio quality was still terrible. The sound was thin, muddy, and distorted no matter what settings I used. The EQ doesn’t help much, and the overall build feels cheap despite the metal chassis.Bluetooth and USB functions worked, but what's the point if the main purpose of the unit (mixing and amplification) doesn't function properly? It’s extremely disappointing for a product that markets itself as "professional" and "stage-ready." I can’t recommend this to anyone—definitely look elsewhere if you need a reliable mixer or amp.

Versatile amplifier
Overall, a versatile tool, appears to be well built of quality materials. An amplifier with extensive input options and onboard signal processing. Steel chassis, solid feeling controls. Machine screw assembly, solid feel to the power rocker switch, and a fuse (unspecified) in the IEC power connector. The LED displays are bright.Input strips have hybrid ¼”/XLR inputs, with input Gain control, and overload indicator LED. Each strip has an optional phantom power. Three bands (Low/Mid/High) of EQ. Pan control to sweep from Left/Right (and in-between), and a smooth slider to control level sent to L&R Mains. Each strip also has a send for an “FX” bus and a mute switch. The FX section of the mixer has dozens of options for digital reverb, delay, distortions, signal processing, and a seven band graphic equalizer the level is controlled by how much of a strip you SEND, and how much of the FX bus you return, to the overall mix.The FOURTH strip is selectable to operate EITHER identically to the first 3, or as the input for a USB drive/MP3 player, or the Blue Tooth receiver. The Bluetooth connected to my phone just like every other device. The amplifier section is two channel (stereo), and has 4 outputs, two each of 1/4” or twist (speakon) type for left and right channels. The documentation specifies 250 watts at 4 (FOUR) ohms for each channel, but the mixer is not marked. Most speakers in the US are 8ohm. Buyer beware. I know that the amplifier just pushes a little harder for the higher load, but I would not assume it’s strictly arithmetic (125 watts), Besides I never run an amplifier at full load. If your speakers are rated for 125watts at 8 ohm, I don’t think you’ll risk damaging the speakers, but I have no opinion as to damage to the amplifier by pushing the 8ohm load. The fan is fairly quiet. The shipping container claims that the unit is listed with “CE” (the European safety agency, equivalent to UL in the USofA), but there is NO marking on the product itself. so I wouldn’t leave it plugged in unless you are sitting with it. The container also claims “FBQ feedback detection system” but I found no evidence of it on the EX4 unit. There was no “noise” in the operation of any knob or slider, but there was a transient (pop) when actuating the phantom power option on the input strips. And there was a slight hum (at about 127cycles) associated with the phantom power circuit on two of the strips. So I suspect this is a workmanship problem, or it would have appeared on all 4. Also, if you just select the phantom power (on or off) before you power up the amplifier, it’s a non issue. The hum was not noticeable when there is signal on the strip. The documentation that was packed in the shipping container did not match the product I tested (EX4), and I could not find any documentation on the internet for the Kashun EX4 mixer/amp.You could have a great three (or less) singer Karaoke rig, using the onboard USB (or bluetooth) player. Even dial in a little reverb the “help” the singers. It CAN be used with powered speakers, if you use the UNPOWERED outputs on the top surface of the unit. Really a versatile design.
