Reccomended to my friends.
Super easy setup. I had older 4TB drives from a western digital raid device that was not longer supported. Not wanting to loose the use of the drives, I bought this drive dock. Works great. No bothersome software. Each drive has its own drive letter.

Is what it says it is, does what it says it does.
This device works very well for the price, was recognized immediately by my OS, and appears to be constructed quite well. The fan is not silent by any means, but emits only a low hum. I imagine if the fan wer 120-140 instead, this sound might be reduced. I'll eventually look into swapping that, although it is not necessary at all as my HDDs (of which there are admittedly only 2 at the moment) do not appear to struggle temperature-wise.

TICKING TIME BOMB of an HDD Enclosure
First off, I never write reviews. But the pain this drive enclosure has brought me warrants letting others know. After I first put this 4x drive bay enclosure together, the first thing I did was ran CrystalDiskMark to make sure everything was reading accessible. The first ran errored out, but worked after I did a reattempt which worked, so I called it good.My first impressions of the drive enclosure were not good. My usb inteface would intermitently cut out which I thought had something to do with the adapter inteface, but now I'm not so sure. I used this drive for about 5 weeks before the unthinkable happened.I had ALL of my my personal data stored on this drive enclosure, but mirrored across the 2x2 bays. This was temporary until I could get my NAS up and running then use this as the OFFSITE backup. (following the 3-2-1 rule). The problem is, disaster struck before I could even get to offload my data.I thought this would ensure my protection until I got my NAS built to store the data pernamently. Wrong. The USB controller for this drive must have been adapted to interface along with RAID (there is a RAID version of this drive). Despite the fact I only had the USB version and there is NO RAID module soldered to the board, apparently this thing is designed in such a way, that it can PERNAMENTLY CORRUPT all the data on your drives. No recovery. No deep bit scan to recover the prescious files lost.I ripped my drives out and threw the whole enclosure in the trash and will forever stay away from BRANDS THAT OFFER RAID VERSIONS of the same USB Enclosure. This was obviously an attempt to save a penny and used a shitty RAID compatible board that inerface USB writes over a RAID controller. I lost 9TB (2x drives each), easily 1,000 hours of my time and would happily trade 10-15k to get my data back. This drive enclosure is a hell hole of your time and money. Let my pain save your sanity.

Nice but too much fan noise for my environment.
I love the layout and function of the disk docking station.Easy tool free installation of 3 1/2" disks. My main gripe is the fan noise is unacceptable in my environment.I even tried replacing the fan but still has too much fan noise.I'd suggest using a variable speed fan based on thermals.

Great Value, Quick, Easy Assembly
Great value for the money. Within minutes, I was able to install four 1TB drives into their carriers, connect and power-up the device and had a working system. My only possible concern would be the efficiency of its (very quiet BTW) cooling system long-term. But my initial impressions are very good.

Insufficient Cooling - 4 Bay raidless
I purchased the 4 bay raidless version to attach to my NAS and the HDD temps are constantly above 50 and generally above 55. I've resorted to adding a fan in front. The fan in the unit is quiet but clearly too underpowered. You can barely feel the air moving behind the unit. I've ordered a new fan with hopefully higher RPM which should resolve the problem and it is easy to replace the fan if you can find the same size but this shouldn't need to be done in the first place. The manufacturer needs to fix this as the current fan is not appropriate.
