Solid Air King Homage
Don’t have $10K lying around for an Air King? Yeah, me neither. But this Pagani Design delivers a lot of the look and utility for about 1/100th the price. I’m a big guy with an 8-inch wrist, and while it wears a little small on me, it’s clean, legible, and doesn’t get in the way—which is honestly a plus.Lume? It’s there. Not amazing, not terrible. But the blue lume? Love it. It pops just enough without trying too hard. The 200M water resistance is a big deal to me—not because I dive or swim with my watches, but because it tells me the build is solid. I’m outdoors a lot, I fish, I live life. So having that 20 ATM rating gives me peace of mind. It can handle whatever nonsense I throw at it.Timekeeping is solid. My specimen runs around +6 seconds a day, which is more than acceptable, especially considering I’ve owned Swiss pieces that couldn’t manage that.I get that some folks turn their noses up at homages. But here’s the truth: a lot of us have real-life priorities, kids, mortgages, rising costs and a $10K flex piece isn’t happening right now. That doesn’t mean we don’t appreciate the design language of Rolex or Omega. It means we want something we can enjoy today while we build toward that heirloom piece someday. If you’re a watch snob reading this, believe me, we get it. Most of us would love to own a true Air King, Sub, or Seamaster. But this watch partially scratches that itch without wrecking your finances. For what it's worth, I’m wearing my Seamaster at work today. But this morning at my home gym? I had this PD Air King homage on, and it looked right, felt right, and did the job.

4.8 stars. Very happy with my purchase.
I have always appreciated and admired the minimalist design of the 1016 and 14270 however do not have the money to purchase either. Ever since seeing Don Draper and Ian Fleming rocking the original 1016s, I have always wanted a similar style watch. Despite this, and I am sure like many of us, I cannot afford a 1016 or 14270.When I first saw this watch I was intrigued but hesitant. The watch looked amazing, but for the price it seemed too good to be true. I could not find much information online about this particular model and was hesitant to spend the money. After owning and wearing for about a month, I am very happy with my purchase. The best information about the watch that I could find was a video buy WR4K on YouTube. It is a fantastic video and he goes over all of the specs/details of the watch.A couple quick notes:-The bezel is slightly bigger than on a 1016/14270. The crystal is not domed and the larger bezel adds some protection instead of exposing the raised sides of the crystal. I thought the bigger bezel would bother me, however I do not even notice it and appreciate the extra protection.-The bracelet is just okay. I have not touched the micro adjustment but took out 4 links to fit my approx. 7 inch wrist. It could be better, but for the price it works. I have a leather nato strap coming just to experiment.-I cannot speak to the water resistance of this model. I have not submerged it in anyway or gotten it wet other than washing my hands or walking in light rain. Though, I have not had any problems with either of those activities.-I saw some worried about the sturdiness of the crown. I have been very pleased by the screw down crown and have not experienced any problems so far.-The watch runs beautifully. My watch runs about +/-5 seconds per week and keeps good time. The Seiko NH35 movement is a fantastic movement for the money. Very happy with this.-The watch is very thin. It disappears under shirt sleeves and jackets.-The lume is not great. This is where I believe buyers have to be slightly self-aware. For the price, the lume is just right, but do not expect anything great. I would say it is comparable to a Casio Duro. Even under charging light for several minutes, the lume is only at peak brightness for approximately 20-30 seconds and then fades rather quickly. Again, you have to be a little self-aware here.-The bezel/case sides are a mirror finished steel. It's going to collect scratches rather easily. I have already collected multiple scratches but it builds character!-I have not develop any scratches on the synthetic sapphire crystal. Very pleased with this.-The box and papers (if you want to even call them "papers") are nothing special. Nevertheless, the watch arrived safe and sound.Overall: I am very happy with my purchase. Be self aware here, it is not a 1016/14270, but it is certainly a worthwhile alternative. I have loved wearing the watch and recommend it. It will remain on my wrist indefinitely pending I save enough for a 14270 one day!

Homage to the new Rolex Air King
Great watch! It's pays homage to the Rolex Air King. Correct size of 40mm, and for the fraction of a price of a Rolex, you can't beat it! Easy to size the band with a small screwdriver, and it's very comfortable. Lume is correct color, and ok for about 10 minutes...Looking forward to many years of use!

Simply Impressed
I have been considering buying the Rolex Exployer 39mm or 36mm for about a year, but in truth i have never even seen or wore one in person. I was afraid I might be disappointed in the look , size ,and feel of the watch after I bought one , so I decided to get an homage watch that would give me a chance to see how I felt about the appearance on my wrist . I chose the Pagini 40mm version because I was leaning toward the Rolex 39 . I bought this Pagini and set the time against my iPhone watch . I can’t believe how accurate this mechanical watch has remained . I thought for sure it would lose or gain perhaps a minute a day ,and it’s been within a seconds. It seems to gain a few seconds daily if I store it flat overnight, but loses a few seconds if I store it on its side. So I have alternated how I store it, and still within a few seconds of my iPhone after a week . Wow , impressive. Overall the watch has great looks and the bracelet is solid and comfortable. I had seen reviews the bracelet was sharp ,but this one is fine . Clasp is a little hard to get my fingernail under to release it , but probably because I trim my nails back frequently. This watch has helped me be more comfortable with my decision and if I do decide to get the Rolex , this watch is still going to be in my lineup for days when my work demands duties that could cause me to scratch or bang it up a watch.I told my friend a few times I was going thinking of getting the Exployer in the last year and we met this past week , He saw the watch sitting on my wrist and commented that I must have bought it. From across the table it definitely gives the impression of a Rolex Explorer , but looking closer it easy to identify it’s a Pagani homage design. Anyhow I am a Pagini supporter now for workmanship and quality.
