Loved the simplicity of read. Wish I would’ve came across this sooner!!

I am a first time parent and have read many parenting books in the last two years and this one has been my most favorite. First of all, it is so practical, easy to understand, and apply the principals shared here. There are no extra things written to make the book longer or 'more interesting'. It felt like I sat down with a mentor for two hours and he laid out practical things for my husband and I to do and not do with our family. Absolutely love and will be recommending to all my fellow parent friends. Thank you for writing this book and sharing your wisdom!

What a good, sound, and biblical read! It is super easy with short chapters that have decades of experience and truth. I recommend to every parent, especially those with younger children/toddlers. Easily became my favorite read in christian parenting.

The authors 3rd girl is my childhood best friend. I am now 25 years, married with no kids, and me and my husband both agree that this book has principals that we want to raise our future children with, Lord willing! I will be reading it again!If you know Pastor Brock you know that every slice of wisdom comes with love and an honest desire for you and I to have a deeper relationship with Christ. I can safely say some of what seems to be harsher parenting will not create childhood trauma for your kids. I fully agree with his viewpoint. This book really details out that freedom is a much more complex idea, and as a parent it is your job to guide your children to truth and not give in to their sinful hearts.

There are lots of parenting books out there, but none are quite as practical as this one. A must read for parents looking for practical, down-to-earth advice for raising disciplined children. I have 3 children of my own and this book taught me much.

The book will provoke you to be harsh, rigid and angry. This approach is not going to steer parents down a path of being like Jesus. It will be a rough ride for you and create a lot of shame, emotional pain, anxiety and fear in your children. I felt like throwing up after reading the part where he says to swat a 9 month old. I can’t believe there’s actually people like this in the world. Writing books that influence parents that these things are right and what God has called us to do with children. It’s disgusting. I pray for every parent reading this book. Your touch, your tone, your love, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness and self control are an example to your children. Swatting a child is abuse. They’re smaller, vulnerable, and need guidance and direction in a nurturing and loving home, and that’s how they learn and thrive, not in fear.

This book is full of practical principles and practices for Christians.

I have read a few parenting books and I really liked that this one gave many examples as to how do I do this in my own home. I would definitely recommend!!
