Bad tasting water
I am sorry I bought this. I only use the water to cook with or water my animals.

So far, a more affordable replacement option
I ordered the ceramic filters to replace my carbon & fluoride filters I use on my water filter system. These filters are like a 2-in-1 and it would not only eliminate my need to attach extra fluoride filters, it would be more cost effective. The lifespan is comparable or better to my old filters, and if you know how to clean & purge filters already, it's easy to do. I'm not sure if these filters work as well as the expensive name brand ones I had before, but the water tastes the same so that's a big plus to me. I have a few more tests to do, but so far I think they are a good replacement option.

Does its job well
It is very well packaged and comes as set of two. Like any ceramic filter, you need to "purge" it at least once before drinking. This might take a while (a few hours). The taste will also improve the more you use it. I've found that this takes about three to four cycles. By "cycle" I mean refilling it, typically when it is about half full. Cleaning the filters every six weeks or so will also keep the working well, and increase their longevity.

Sketchy
I soaked the filters before use as instructed. I made sure I didn't tighten the wing nuts too tight. But still, these 2 filters together could not drain the 4 gallon tank. They stalled out about 2/3 through. So I dumped it all and started over. The same thing happened! I picked up the tank to dump it again, and the movement caused a bunch of water to suddenly run through. These filters aren't right, and I missed my return window so I'm just throwing them away.
