Here's what I did...
We found this product on a video someone had shared and had to figure out two things before buying:1) is the price where I'm able to take a shot at this fix without making it irreversibly worse and without costing so much that I could potentially deeply regret it? It was right in the sweet spot; and I found the alternative costs to be way more. Hundreds for replacement, or self-loathing for doing nothing.2) My realistic expectations: how close do I need this to look really good from, and will this get me there? My number was 8 feet, and from what I read, I decided yes, it would. We were dealing with several 1/4 to 3/4 inch holes in several different long runs of siding along the side of the house, and one larger one near the gutter. It would have taken replacement of at least 4 separate panels which is the worst option other than leaving it un-repaired. The application was easy, although I can't imagine not understanding how to use this. The color was so close that we almost didn't bother painting it, but having watched the video, I naturally went for it. The attached picture shows the before and after of the first fix we did, which happened to be the largest hole we had near the gutter. The results were even better on the later applications because I finally remembered to actually feather the paint properly. I attached photos of my very first attempt because it's probably the fairest representation of an average Joe doing this with no experience... even that attempt came out great, and is barely noticeable from more than a few feet away; and it got even better from there.Something to note: Don't expect a heavy, thick application. I think the lines would be way too prominent if it were thick anyway; and this made the painting a breeze. On a larger hole, I feel like I would use plumber's putty on the hole, sand it dead smooth, then apply the Mendyl... then there would be no depressions visible in the least. Maybe the seller can say if this would be ok to do with the product; but it's certainly not necessary, you can see in the photo it's barely visible, and that was our largest hole. We experienced no edge curl-up, no insufficient adhesion, and super important, no poorly machined pieces with bad edges. And as I write this, all applications have had no adverse reaction to cold or warm weather, nor the rain, nor the hose (its durability was my number one concern going in, and it's evident that it's just part of the house now and isn't going anywhere). I will update the review if this changes. If you are considering replacement because of small to medium sized holes in your vinyl... definitely reconsider. I'm not sure why someone would dish out unnecessary money to replace siding when you can just patch the hole with this to remove the weather vulnerability... paint it so it looks nice to visitors, yourself and your neighbors, and spend your siding money on something else more exciting than siding, which is almost literally anything else. You have to decide for yourself, but for me... I like it, I wish I thought of it, and I suppose I would recommend it to a friend... most of them at least. The rest of them don’t deserve my recommendations :)

Great option
We had a stump grinder out that a piece of the stump flew up and damaged the siding. This worked great as a fix. From a distance it’s great to hide the damage up close it’s a bit easier to locate. Super easy to use

Works Fairly Well
It covers damaged areas fairly well. It worked out pretty well by following the instructions.

Only good for really flush holes
Product was easy to install, but if the hole you’re covering isn’t perfectly flush (someone made this hole with tin snips), the vinyl isn’t nearly sticky enough to compensate. As a result you get a giant bubble under the patch where the siding is pushing from underneath. The vinyl is also very thin so it shows the grain of the siding, so jagged edges from the hole look like they’re going to push through.Product documentation says you can easily press out uneven bubbles with your fingers, but your mileage may vary.

Perfect product to use on siding repairs
This material is fantastic on my white siding! You can’t see where I used it unless you are looking VERY close. It’s very strong and easy to cut and apply.

Do not buy
This should be renamed from siding patch kit to “big white sticker”. Because that’s is what this is. Complete waist of money.

Patch worked great.
This is sent perfect but it's pretty close. Hail a couple weeks ago put a hole in my siding but I fished the broken piece out from inside and put it on the sticky side to use. I have a lot of acrylic paints so Iixed some up to match the siding. Cleaned the area off with alcohol before I started mixing. It was easy to use and the repair looks fine. I think it will be durable.

way too expensive for it's price
way too expensive for it's price. Just a paintable plastic tape. Doesn't cover the vinyl siding hole properly. Still leaves it vulnerable, need to use 2-3 layers to cover the hole to be not visible. Then paint it.
