This hitch is solid. I am very impressed with the quality and durability of the hitch. I bought it for my husband. His truck sits very high, 4 wheel drive and 20 inch tires, and he needed an adjustable hitch to accommodate different trailers that we own. It also locks which is a great feature. He is very happy with it

Yes it's heavy but I DO NOT trust aluminum with any towing job. I've seen too many broken aluminum trailers on the side of the road. Fatigued aluminum just breaks like cheese, without warning. I know about factory fudged specifications and I totally trust the 17,000lb rating on this piece of steel that has all the appearance of excellent engineering. I will not be using the locking pin, I know about those too. It will have to be cut off in a couple months.

I’ve only had for about two weeks and it has already begun to rust. The paint coating they put on is very cheap and non-effective. You don’t buy a black hitch, expecting it to rust, at least so quickly. The steel for the pins started to rust as well. See picture.

Locks tight to drawbar, very little play in the ball end. Paint rubs off the ball on first use, but I expected that.

Cheaply made, too much slop between the ball and the pin.
