Excellent for the price!
Come off it with the bad reviews! It's a bike for under $200; what do you expect. I didn't just follow ALL of the instructions, and watch the installation video, but I also loosened and retightend every nut, bolt, and screw. Then I put oil on the chain so it wouldn't break when I rode. 😀 After the first ride, I adjusted the seat, brakes, and derailer just a bit. Now I ride it to work everyday. Granted, that is only 3 miles for me, but that is why I bought the CHEAP bike. If you are expecting more... spend more! 😀

This bike is garbage
Literally the first day we rode the bike the rear gear appears to have broken while shifting. I put it together without any issues but if this is the quality of the bikes you should NEVER buy a bike from Hiland Bikes.

Solid Option for the Price
The delivery took a bit longer than expected, but it arrived well-packaged without any damage.Assembly was pretty simple and only took about 25 minutes using the multi-tool provided in the package. Additional tools would likely be helpful.I've taken 10-mile rides without any issues. It should be noted that this is more of a hybrid bike than a true mountain bike. All things considered, this is a decent beginner bike at an affordable price.

Great bike for the money! Arrived in perfect condition packaged very well. Rode great right out of the box. Only had to adjust the brakes and put air in the tires.

FIXER UPPER...*NOT* puncture proof tires...and tube blew up
One of the main reasons I bought this bike was for the puncture proof tires - goatheads are a New Mexico thing, and went right through the tires. Also, upon initial air up, the valve was off center and it blew the tube.Handlebars keep coming loose. After many failed bike rides, I have worked on it myself to get it to where it should have been initially. So if you want a fixer upper, buy this.

What a Great Bike!!
This is a great bike! Twenty one speed allows for a huge range of pedal resistance! The gears change smoothly! The bike took only 15 minutes to assemble -- install the handlebar, the front tire and the pedals -- piece of cake. The seat is very uncomfortable (narrow and hard) -- appears to be made for racing. Other than the seat, this is a perfect bike! The tires have an awesome tread design making for a very smooth ride on the street. The brakes are set perfectly right out of the box -- smooth and accurate stopping. It is gray in color and the front wheel frame is a nice blue. In my opinion, the bike is priced correctly given the quality of the materials and the quality of the ride! I'm 6'2" tall and this 27.5 inch size is a perfect fit!

Decent beginner bike with some caveats.
I'll just pros/cons this really quickly:Pros: Good value for a beginner bike.Easy to assemble. Takes about 20 minutes from delivery to out the door riding.Bog standard parts that are pretty easy to find in case something goes wrong.Comes complete with everything you need including pedals.Cons: Build quality is... value focused.Quill stem is an odd choice. Haven't assembled a new on of those in a long long time.Everything is pretty well oiled to prevent corrosion while they ship these overseas. Some may not appreciate that smell.Saddle might not be comfortable for all.Pedals are pretty meh. Get yourself something better for a few bucks more. While this does have a suspension fork, don't expect it to do a whole lot.Tubes and tires aren't the best. Plan on upgrading those down the line if you want to get more out of this bike. So, all in all, this is ok if you want a city bike, or something to putt around with your kids. Get it set up well, and make sure to lube the chain properly, and it'll serve you just fine. Hope this is helpful!

Unridable
Do not buy this bike. Seriously; save your money and put it toward something of better quality. The stem does not hold tight, which renders the bike useless. They graciously provided me a replacement, but the issue unfortunately continued on the new bike as well.
