Good TV stand
This is a good product with quality parts. Looks nice and worth the money I paid for. Assembly is not simple, but instructions are clear, and not too difficult like some of the reviewers made it out to be. Make sure to use your own wood glue though. My item was manufactured 4 years ago, and I wouldn't trust an old glue that came with the product. Also, the instructions only instruct to add glue to one side of the dowel pins. It always helps to put glue on the other end too just before insertion. This stand is not deep enough to accommodate some of the full size audio-video components. Make sure yours fit within 12 inch depth, including the cable connections.

Perfect for the vintage gamer with 6 to 7 consoles. Read on for details.
I've been watching this TV stand for months, wondering if it would accommodate my geeky needs. I finally bit the bullet and I'm so glad I did.. I managed to fit 6 of my 7 retro gaming consoles and their control pads inside the cabinet shelves without any issues at all. A lot of these reviews seem to lean towards the stand being on the small side in terms of shelf space, which worried me a bit, but it totally worked out. I managed to pop in a classic NES, Super NES, Sega Genesis, Dreamcast, Gamecube, and a Nintendo 64 console with their pads sitting at their sides with enough space for the power and AV cords. My PS2 sits outside on top of the stand next to my oldschool 27'' inch Phillips CRT TV (PS2 console on it's side but can also sit flat with the 27'' next to it.)I hope this information helps any vintage gamer out there who's wondering if this would accommodate their classic consoles. Of course, mind the number of consoles able to fit on each shelf. There is no divider in between the shelves so it makes it a lot easier to arrange your consoles how you see fit.The console itself feels pretty durable. The pillars and both top shelf and bottom shelf are the strongest of all the pieces.Putting it together was fairly easy if you're ok with putting basic furniture together. Only a few pieces to work with, making easy to build in less than 2 hours, even for a beginner. Some parts of the console did have dings though, so be mindful of that. I had to take a sharpie and touch up several spots, some less conspicuous than others.By the way, the gluing part of the build is nothing to sweat. It simply asks you to add a little bit of glue (which is included with this stand) to each small wooden dowel, prior to inserting them. To be honest... I don't think it's even necessary as I've been building IKEA furniture for a week straight and non of their stuff requires me to glue any wooden dowels. I did add a drop of glue only on one end of the dowels just in case I want to take this thing apart (if I needed to return it).And that's that. :-]

Fabulous TV Console - Poor Packaging
First off, I would give this 5 stars if it weren't for the lousy packaging. The console arrived in a heavy long flat box. One end of the box was coming open and pretty beat-up looking. I could even see the wood through the packaging before I opened it!So I get it home and open it up and the end where the wood is exposed has almost no protection at all. One part of the shelf is scratched and the veneer is even peeling off a little. The opposite end of the box is extremely well protected. It had extra cardboard and even a piece of wood protecting the end. Thankfully, the scratched / peeling part of the cabinet is towards the rear, and can't be seen unless you really look for it. I'm sure others might not be so lucky. As I unpacked it, my biggest fear was that the glass just had to be broken. As bad as the packaging looked, I figured there was no way it would have survived the trip. To my surprise, the glass was packed between the wood, and survived the journey. It's packed with that really cheap sytrofoam between all the parts of the cabinet, you know the kind that self disintigrates when you barely touch it. So by the time you have everything unpacked, your entire living room is covered in a snow-like blanket of styrofoam residue. Be prepared to vacuum up the entire room after you have put the cabinet together. Now for the cabinet: This product is great! It took me about 2-hours to put it together and I am very handy at this kind of thing. Everything fit together PERFECTLY! There are a LOT of parts, and there was NOT ONE hole or peg that was out of alignment! I fully expected to have to drill a new hole somewhere to make something fit, but no need for this. When it was all said and done, it looks like a much more expensive piece of furniture that you would buy at a fine store. I couldn't be more pleased with it. Very sturdy and it holds all the compenents well. The doors are very solid and open and close well with no binding or sagging. In summary, Walker Edison - spend a couple extra dollars on the packaging and you will be producing a 5-star product!

Perfect TV Stand for a Corner
I needed a corner stand for a 48" LG flat-panel TV. After attempting to find one at a retail store without success, I looked at several on Amazon before settling on this Walker Edison one. This is an excellent stand based on value. Although it is made of particle board with a think vinyl finish it is heavy duty. Well-engineered. Although it took longer than I expected assembly was a breeze. Assemblers beware pay close attention to the pictorial instructions. The wooden dowels need to be glued in a specific order. It's all too easy to glue a dowel into a piece when it is supposed to be glued into another piece later. One reviewer noted, and I agree, placing the unit on its back before installing the front doors is a godsend. Doing this with the unit upright adds complexity to the assembly process. Newton would agree, use gravity to your advantage. One buying tip. Look at the various finishes. There is quite a price difference between the different finishes.
