Surprisingly Impressed
I’ll be honest—I was skeptical about the Meike 50mm lens at first. Given its budget-friendly price, I wasn’t sure if it could deliver the sharpness and quality I was looking for. But after testing it out, I was blown away! The picture quality is stunning—sharp details, beautiful depth of field, and excellent color rendering. It performs well in low light, and the bokeh is smooth and natural. The build quality is solid, and while it’s manual focus, it didn’t take long to get the hang of it.For the price, this lens punches way above its weight. If you're on the fence, give it a shot—you might be as surprised as I was!

Truly impressed
This is an affordable prime choice for us Sony users. Honestly a solid price point for portraits and low-light photography. On the focal length was ideal for nice subject isolation. Was using this wide open and it produces pleasing bokeh. While it’s not as tack-sharp as higher-end lenses, the image quality is quite good with decent color and contrast. Build quality feels decent despite its budget price.Manual focus may require a little patience especially for moving subjects. However, for stationary subjects or portraits, focus peaking on the compensates well. Overall, the lens a is solid budget choice that provides good value for casual shooters looking to experiment with prime lenses.

I like it!
It's a deal of a lens for the price. The images are clear and when compared with its more expensive counterparts it can hold his own.

GREAT quality for the prices.
The media could not be loaded. I’m a content creator so I need a great quality lens but not so much as a “videographer lens” this nifty 50 is PERFECT. This is great quality for what I’m needing. It’s easy to use. My only con would be how zoomed in it is but at the same time I like that too lol. The image quality is also VERY good for portraits. It’s a very great lens for beginners.

A little Disappointed
The media could not be loaded. The AF works for photos but it doesn’t not work for video “continuous focus”. I read the instructions and downloaded the firmware and followed everything and it is still not working for me. I have been using cameras for many years and this should not be this difficult. (EDIT). I figured out how to make the Continuous Focus feature on VIDEO MODE only...it is still not responding on "MANUAL MODE". I had a 2 stars and now changed to a 3 stars because at least it works for both video and photos but if keep in mind there is a reason Sony has MODES. Video mode is not as flexible as MANUAL MODE while shooting video. The PP1-PP8 settings for dynamic range are not equal. I like to shoot video on MANUAL Mode because I can get a better dynamic range with my own settings but Video mode is a little more sensitive to bright lights. So being forced to only use the Continuous Focus on Video MODE only is a little disappointing. My other AF lenses still have Continuous focus regardless of what MODES I use on the Sony Aiii. This is still a decent lens and it is worth it for a low budget without needs to be too specific with extreme lighting conditions.

Excellent 50 mm Lens
The media could not be loaded. Took my new Meike 50 mm out for a little natural light test with my wife as the model. This lens is way too awesome to be this cheap....at least I think so. Folks say the lens is too big, and I'm like how. Great purchase. Perfect for my needs. Auto focus was fastI picture quality was very clear. I did not notiice any weird noises. I am just a hobbyist not a full time professional. Great buy for me.📷 Sony A7IV🔎 Meike 50mm 1.8
