Carpal tunnel syndrome makes it difficult for me to hold a book because my hands tingle and go numb. This lap desk completely solves that problem. The cushion is comfortable (my cat also enjoys lying on it!) and the little fasteners hold a paperback or hardcover open surprisingly well. So glad to be able to read in comfort again!

I bought to read my Bible. It lays nice on tray part and cushion is comfortable. It's great if you want to sit upright to read. I prefer to recline and read, so I returned this for the Vigo wood book stand.

I was getting tired of holding a book or magazine with one hand (my cat demands the other hand for petting...lol), so this is a saving grace! I have sort of a wedge pillow with a lip I bought on Etsy years ago, but it doesn't hold book pages/hold the book open.
