A fascinating account of her life by this extraordinary woman. She is amazingly truthful about her emotions, a woman of amazing courage and strength of character. The best woman mountaineer and possibly rock climber of her day. Probably no mountaineering woman has equaled her to this day.

Two stars for the awful translation. Hard to read, which is a shame because I would like to know about Destivelle
