I can confirm it fits the Husqvarna L321AH AWD mower perfectly (though it’s not listed).This has the Kohler HD775 engine.Super simple just 3 nuts to pull off the old one, put on the new one and tighten the 3 nuts.Works great.Now if I could just find the proper handlebar control and drive cable assembly!

I am totally confused by some of the negative reviews for the recoil. I compared it to the OEM one that I have that is broken and it is identical to the oem Briggs and Stratton. Excellent quality.

The assembly fit exactly. I just riveted it on and started cranking. It works great. And compared to trying to restring the original and get it reassembled, this was a bargain.

The recoil starter assembly was a good fit and worked very well with no anomalies for a couple of months. The handle on the end of the cord could be made better or at least different. Like many handles on this type of starter assembly, the cord is run through the handle from the bottom to the top of the handle. A knot is then put at the top to keep the cord from being pulled back through the handle. The problem is, the handle material is too soft to keep the cord with the knot from being pulled through the handle. The handle pulled off the cord. You may want to add the following suggestion to this item. I took a metal pin and cut it to the size of the top portion of the handle, that has a groove there. i tied the cord around the pin and sealed the end of the cord so it wouldn't untie. I have no more problems with the unit. It is made very well with the exception of what I just stated.

Noye the rotary assembly is riveted in the housing. So you may have to drill to make housing fit. This is not just an assembly to fit in your original housing. Also the string is short. If your mower has a holder at the grip you will unwind the assembly. Just pull straight from the engine and allow it to reel all the way back in. This'll worked on my briggs mower.

Works pretty well. Make sure you use the black plastic ring and flip it over so there’s enough room between the fences on the fan and the polar or it won’t work properly. For a cheap made in China part, it works pretty well.

Perfect fit, just as described, normal function restored, ease of replacement, highly recommend.

Part was a perfect fit and easy to replace. Lawnmower works great, it now starts at first try every time.
