Love this pot so far. I got it yesterday. I washed it and immediately started cooking in it. It cooks very well. I made like a zucchini and yellow squash stew of sorts. I started with avocado oil, onions, bell peppers, garlic, celery, a sliced whole jalapeño, bacon and smoked sausage. I sauté that all together. Added stewed tomatoes. Then added my cut up squash, with seasonings and some tomato paste. When I tell you it was a party going on in that pot, I’m not exaggerating. Cooked some yellow rice and scooped the stew up to pour over the top. It was so good. More than enough room for everything. I like the size of the pot and how much it holds. And nothing stuck to the bottom. I was concerned about that, because the texture of the pot is slightly of coarse, but that wasn’t a problem. The pot has a thickness and deepens to it, making it very versatile for many cooking styles and recipes. I’m really happy with my purchase thus far.

Lid to caldero does not fit securely
The lid to the caldero does not fit securely; it leaves a small gap. Very sharp edges on both the caldero and the lid.

A Touch of Tradition: IMUSA 7.5 Quart Caldero Review
I've been searching for the perfect pot to replicate the traditional Spanish dishes my mom used to make, and I struck gold with the IMUSA 7.5 Quart Traditional Natural Caldero. This find isn't just good; it's easily one of my best purchases of last year. The caldero's size and build are ideal for cooking those hearty, comforting meals that require slow cooking and even heat distribution. It's brought a taste of Spain into our home, and even my hubby is a fan — so much so that he's suggested getting another one in a smaller size for days when we're cooking for just the two of us.However, through a bit of user error, I learned a valuable lesson: while the product isn't marketed as dishwasher safe, I can now confirm that it's best to keep it out of the dishwasher. After an accidental cycle, the lid looked like it had been flash-burned. Despite this mishap, the caldero itself has continued to perform flawlessly. In conclusion, the IMUSA 7.5 Quart Traditional Caldero is a stellar addition to any kitchen, especially for those looking to bring a bit of traditional cooking into their modern lives. Just remember to treat it with a little old-fashioned care — hand wash only! Whether you're simmering a stew or slow-cooking a roast, this caldero is up to the task, making it a purchase you won't regret.

🍚🍚🍚 THiS iS MY RiCe PoT — iT’S DeFiNiTeLY a KiTCHeN eSSeNTiaL 🍚🍚🍚
This traditional Colombian caldero in their 4.8-quart size has quickly become my favorite pot for making rice. It cooks evenly and gives that perfect texture every time—fluffy with just the right amount of crisp at the bottom, if you like it like that. The size is just right for my family of big eaters, and I love that it’s oven-safe too, which adds to its versatility. I’ve used it for stews, baked dishes, and of course, countless rice recipes. This thing is durable, classic, and dependable—an absolutely worthy addition to my kitchen arsenal.

Almost perfect
I've been wanting one of these for years and finally got one. Used it last night to make jambalaya and everything came out perfect. And yes, there is some discoloration after use. it's aluminum. that's what happens, it's a chemical reaction. It's lightweight. seems it's going to last a while. easy to use and for those that are surprised, no it is NOT nonstick. It's not a fancy looking pot, but that's part of its beauty. As far as durability, I'm hoping it's going to last many years. The reason why I'm taking one star away is the damn sticker on the side of it did not want to come off. I was able to but it was not easy, And part of the problem with that sticker it seems if care instructions were on the back of it but since the sticker tore I can't read it. not sure who the genius was who thought of putting care instructions on the inside of the sticker that was impossible to take off the pan in the first place... genius!.
