Totally worth it. Great stuff.
Simply outstanding! Just did my first track day event after applying this sealant on a new set of wheels. My wheels were nicely covered with a thick coat of brake dust after the event . When it came time for cleaning the brake dust practically fell off the wheels. I've not used anything comparable. A big work saver.

Very nice rim protectant. I would rate 4.5 Stars.
Used on my (very difficult to keep clean) 718M rims on the X3.Tip 1: Have some newspaper and put it down first. This was a mess when I opened it. The lid had wet green paste on both sides of the seal under the lid, which came off. It was messy. Plus, when applying the product, it will drip / fly off, and you could have a hard time getting it off of concrete. As I did.First, I power washed the rims at the local do-it-yourself car wash, and scrubbed clean with the brush.Next, I completely dried the rims in all areasNext, I applied Bilt Hammer to aggressively remove all brake dust (some very old), from the rims. I like Bilt Hammer product, however it does have some draw backs. Then, I completely cleaned and dried the rims off before applying MAXcoat.Next, I followed the directions on MAXcoat, applying to the rims (using the Chemical Brothers sponges that I would also recommend). Finally, I wiped off with product (after 15 minutes) using a microfiber cloth (very easy). The results look great. It goes on kind of Goopey. Not like Turtle Wax or something. More like a Tooth Paste actually. It can fly off or get stuck in crevices which might be difficult to remove or clean. However, this product sets up nicely after 15 minutes, and can easily be removed (as it is kind of dry now) with a cloth. I really like this product, and will use it on the rims of all of my cars now.I will update this post after time, to determine if the MAXCoat can protect the rims against brake dust , so that they can be cleaned faster and easier in the future.

Outstanding!
LOVE!! What a great product. I haven't used anything else as far as coating systems go so I can't say there is anything better out there. But after using the Chemical Guys Diablo gel wheel cleaner and now Max Coat, I'm busy doing the rest of my vehicles. I picked up my new '17 Grand Sport Vette at the museum in Bowling Green Ky and drove it 750 miles home. I'm not sure what evil material they put in those pads but the dust was incredibly difficult to remove from the chrome wheels. The Diablo worked better than the other cleaners I had but it took some scrubbing. Once clean, I coated the entire wheel as per instructions and after several more outings, the dust comes off with the lightest of wipes with a dry microfiber cloth. No cleaner needed. I'm very impressed! I can't speak yet of longevity but i'm guessing it's the best option to use if you don't want to scrub your wheels and risk damaging them. A few tips: Buy plenty of microfiber cloths, you'll need at least 2, maybe 3 per wheel and they will clog up quickly while removing the paste. Second, I found that any applicator simply would not reach into the nooks and edges of the wheels so I put on some latex gloves and just used my fingers. Lastly, try to avoid skin contact. I got a good bit on my wrist and forearms from the flopping of the cloths. I had a nice sheen on my skin for a day or two.

Very effective!
Like having clean wheels, and this product works incredibly well. Brake test doesn’t accumulate as fast, so I don’t have to clean the wheels as often let you know is not an easy task. Just wipe on, let it sit for a few minutes wipe it off with a microfiber. Your wheels will be clean, shine, and you won’t have to clean it for weeks.

Good product, provide a nice shine to wheels, but doesn't really repeal brake dusts as advertised.
***MAKE SURE TO WEAR PROTECTIVE GLOVES PRIOR TO USING or APPLYING THIS PRODUCT, SINCE IT WILL STAIN YOUR HANDS!I wore a pair of disposable gloves, before I apply this wax onto my wheels and it still stains my hands! So I double up and wore a pair of thicker gloves which makes this product harder to penetrate as well as another pair of heavy duty gloves over it. Which seem to do the trick. So make sure you don't get this product over your clothes or other areas where you don't want to get stains!I can't say that this product actually guard my wheels from brake dust, if at all, but it does seems to provide a thin barrier or coating for shine and the wax also keeps the brake dust from getting baked onto my alloy wheels.I have performance brakes on my new BMW, so brake dust is inevitable. Which is why I wanted to get something to protect my wheels against the brake dust. This product is basically just a polymer wax, which you apply to your wheels and buff off afterwards. I usually let it set for 30-60mins before I buff it off...and my wheels are shiny and clean. This product does make cleaning my wheels easier and prevent brake dust from getting baked on my wheels, so this is better than not applying anything at all.I hope Chemical Guys will come up with a new formula, which will be more effective and guard better in WHITE or even better, a clear gel instead of this slimy green paste- because green is not a good color, and it stains! So a clear gel wax would be ideal. In the meantime, I will continue to use this product on my wheels, since it's still something to protect my wheels vs not applying anything at all. Since I haven't been able to find anything else that works better, so I will continue to use this product until there's a better product/formula that actually does the job of protecting/repeal my wheels from brake dust.
