Difficult to configure but worth it to avoid subscription fees and high equipment cost
Setting up this Wi-Fi camera to sync with my NVR (network video recorder) was quite challenging. However, once set up, I was able to see the Wi-Fi camera feed alongside my 8 POE Reolink cameras on the monitor connected to my NVR. Additionally, I can view this new Wi-Fi camera along with my 8 POE cameras on my iPhone app and on my PC via the Reolink client software. The surveillance camera came with minimal instructions. The following is the only guidance provided in the package:"Before initial setup, follow these steps to connect your camera:Connect the camera to a LAN port on your router using an Ethernet cable.Power on the camera with a power adapter.Set up the Camera: Download and launch the Reolink App or Client software, and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the initial setup.NOTE: You can now use WiFi instead of the Ethernet cable for network connection. On Smartphone:Scan to download the Reolink App.Available on the App StoreGET IT ON Google PlayOn PC:Download path for the Reolink Client: Go to https://reolink.com> Support > App & Client.NOTE: If you are connecting the camera to a Reolink PoE NVR, please set up the camera via the NVR interface."Important Tips: When you first connect the camera to your router via the Ethernet cord, avoid the temptation to connect the camera to the NVR using the NVR interface at this time. If you accidentally do, you must figure out how to delete the camera from the NVR and start over. You would also need to restore the factory settings to the camera; otherwise, you won't be able to connect the camera via Wi-Fi.Once you figure out how to add the camera via Wi-Fi, you will be able to see the live feed on the phone app but NOT on the NVR yet. During this process, you will create a password for your camera. You can then unplug the Ethernet cord from your router. To add the Wi-Fi Camera to your NVR, determine the camera's IP address and enter the password you just created, all done on the NVR's software interface.Per Chat GPT, it is better to log into your router and assign a static IP address to your new Wi-Fi camera instead of using DHCP, unlike the POE cameras.I'm not very tech-savvy, and I had to figure things out with the help of Chat GPT. I preferred not to connect with Reolink's customer service, as my past experiences via email have taken quite a while.

Very nice outdoor wifi camera
I purchased this camera to replace old Foscam outside wifi cameras. This has very clear video and the nighttime video. I have had no issues with the camera until all at once it stopped working. After doing some troubleshooting I figured out it was the power cord. It had just died. I had only had the camera 4 months. I contacted customer service and a replacement power cord was on the way the next day. They were wonderful to work with and it was so easy.

The worst purchase
This is by far the worst product I have bought through Amazon for my entire life. The video quality is not my issue with this camera if you’re curious but everything else is a complete garbage.Reolink App is the worst camera app on earth, you will encounter trouble after trouble every day using it.1)Once I got the camera and tried to link it to the app I spent literally half a day to try figuring this out and searching reddit and google .2) wifi connection is terrible it just disconnects randomly and reconnects and sometimes it just disconnects and never connect again unless you delete the camera from the app then add it again.3) The Reolink app will not work outside my home wifi ( cellular or other Wifi network) I tried every solution they gave me and everything in Reddit and google and it only work with my wifi which is absolutely useless.4)while working with this camera and it’s problems the camera dropped from my hand to the cable and cut the cable ( by the way the cable quality is absolute garbage) and couldn’t find replacement and even if I do I won’t buy it because it’s going to be so expensive. I temporarily fixed the cable. And now because the main cable (that comes from the camera itself) is cut and can’t return the camera I just hanged it like a decoration outside the house (just to scare intruders) and I don’t even know if it’s working or not.If you’re in the market for a security camera look somewhere else and save your money and health.

Exceptional Night Vision and Versatile Integration
I recently installed the Reolink CX410W ColorX Outdoor Security Camera to monitor my driveway, and I'm impressed with its performance, especially in low-light conditions. This camera truly shines when it comes to night vision capabilities. Even with minimal ambient light from nearby street lamps, the footage looks remarkably clear and colorful, almost as if it were captured during the day.The camera's AI detection feature is a valuable addition, alerting me to potential security concerns. However, it's not without its quirks. I've noticed some false positives, particularly when it comes to identifying leaves as animals. While this can be a minor annoyance, it's a small price to pay for the overall peace of mind the system provides. One aspect that could use improvement is the notification system. While the Reolink app allows easy access to the camera feed and settings, it lacks rich notifications. This means you'll need to open the app to view detected events, which isn't as convenient as receiving a snapshot or video clip directly in the notification. For those who prefer more advanced setups, the CX410W is compatible with external Network Video Recorders (NVRs) through RTSP and ONVIF protocols. I've successfully integrated it with Scrypted, which opens up additional possibilities for home automation and surveillance customization. The camera's build quality feels solid, designed to withstand outdoor conditions. Installation was straightforward, and the Wi-Fi connectivity has been stable since setup. The 2K resolution provides crisp images, allowing for clear identification of people and objects in the frame
