Layout & interface is dead easy to use
This is a superb TV. Delivery was quick & set up was an absolute doddle. Layout & interface is dead easy to use. Picture quality is exceptional.3 HDMI ports + opictal out, Ethernet port + a USB port - what more do you need!!I already had an Onkyo sound system which I have hooked up but tbh the sound off the tele alone is very very good.Have tried a few of the 'smart' functions - mainly Netflix (4k Uktra HD) & Bbc iPlayer which open up quickly and effortlessly. Plenty of viewing options which I shall have fun with over the coming weeks. The 4k stuff via Netflix gets the most out of the tele - Incredible picture quality! Top class!I'd highly recommend this TV. To top it off I had been given some amazon gift vouchers to use so got the product even cheaper!!

Great value
I bought this to replace a Sony 1080p which is a couple of years old. The sony didn't have all the apps such as ITV and Ch4 meaning I had to have a dongle too, this LG has all the major ones you would expect and runs much faster unlike the Sony where apps were slow and so was the TV guide. The picture quality is good and it looks good and so far no real problems other than it runs out of memory sometimes when watching YouTube so the app restarts. I have yet to set up recording on my memory stick and the inbuilt satallite tuner but suspect it will be easy as the menus are well designed.

Great for the price
Its pretty good. Amazing for the price. I don't really have any 4k sources so that bit is kind of wasted on me at the moment. The backlight is a little vignetted, dark in the corners. But there is very little glare and overall the picture is good. We watched the 6 Nations rugby on it and some of the action was a little distractingly blurred when the camera pans. I'll see how it goes with other sports broadcasts. On the TV set it only has one button, for power. Everything else is controlled via the IR remote control or via a separate Android LG app. I've not tried the built in speakers, we are routing audio out through the optical output to a separate receiver.Software wise - its pretty solid. Nice graphics on the menus but quite limited options. It has WebOS 3.0. Everything has required updating so far, but with broadband this doesn't take very long, a matter of seconds. The most annoying is the TV guide which doesn't just pop over whatever you are watching, it cuts away (I think like a Sky box) and mutes the sound and then displays the EPG after several seconds. And when you select a programme to watch, there's an annoying little popup which asks you to confirm you want to watch the selection. Its nice to be able to stream everything from Netflix, Amazon, BBC Iplayer, 4od and ITV player directly on the set instead of going through a separate box like a PS3. Youtube is not included. It has Miracast, which is a branded form of Intel wireless screen casting (selecting something on a secondary device e.g. phone and then displaying the selection on the TV). Apparently this is incompatible with Android 6, and also I couldn't get Youtube to cast directly to the TV, but Windows seems to work ok.Connections - it has 3 x HDMI, 1 x Optical out, 1 x LAN, Wifi, USB and Component video. Because I've mounted the TV set on the wall using a slimline Invision VESA mount (£9.99) I've had to buy all new right angled HDMI cables etc. Slightly annoying but it does make everything tidier.update sept 2018: yes Youtube has been available for a while now, but wasn't on the original list of apps. You can cast to it from your smartphone which is pretty neat. Finding the video on your phone is much quicker than trying to search on the TV set itself.

Don't recommend
It hasnice pictures, but really slow to respond, has a mind of it's own, remote feals cheap and started to fal appart after 2-3 months. However my bigest issue is that the TV completly stoped working after a year!! Just after the warranty time wore off! TV won't switch on, and the red light is flashing.

Trumpeted as fantastic - this was not my experience.
Trumpeted as fantastic - this was not my experience. A bit flaky, some pixellating going on. Significantly worse than our existing Samsung 36inch.

Nice TV but faulty
It arrived faulty and "Blinked" continuously when it was on, this became really annoying- as it was refurbished it wasn't covered by the manufacturers warranty. So I returned it and received a refundBut it's a really nice TV, and being smart meant that I could get rid of the Amazon Fire TV, Now TV and the freesat Humax boxes; and clear up the cable clutter. I have ordered a replacement, new not refurbished- just now waiting for it to arrive.
