When our old gas grill finally gave out, we knew we wanted to upgrade to a flat top griddle. Since we don’t have a lot of storage space we elected to purchase this table top griddle. We keep it on a black steel table that’s the perfect size for it. The first thing that impressed me about this product was the weight. This thing is heavy- obviously made of high quality materials that will last for years. I like the 3 burner system also- I can cook different foods like eggs at a lower temperature while cooking sausage and bacon at a higher temperature. The surface is ceramic coated cast iron so it’s definitely nonstick and requires no special cleaning- just a quick wipe with a rag after we’re done cooking. The built in grease cup is also handy for catching leftover food scraps and oil left from cooking. The cast iron surface ensures even cooking and puts a nice sear on meats at a higher temperature. The table top size is perfect for the 2 of us but I can easily cook for 4 with no problem. And since there was no assembly needed, we were able to start using this almost immediately. Very impressed with this product- in fact we’ve discussed possibly purchasing the larger free standing model once we move out of our temporary residence and into our permanent home.

Assembly was quick and straightforward, with all the parts clearly labeled and the instructions easy to follow. I had it up and running in under an hour.Performance-wise, it’s exceptional. The 3-burner system offers powerful and even heat across the entire surface. With a total output of 33,000 BTUs, it heats up quickly and holds temperature well, which is perfect whether I’m cooking pancakes and eggs for breakfast or searing burgers and veggies for dinner.The ceramic-coated cast iron griddle is a game-changer! Food doesn’t stick, cleanup is incredibly easy, and I don’t have to worry about seasoning it constantly like traditional cast iron. It feels durable and solid, yet cooks very evenly. I’ve used it to make everything from fajitas to smash burgers, and everything has turned out restaurant-quality.What I also love is the ample cooking space — it’s perfect for feeding a crowd. I’ve hosted several backyard cookouts already, and this griddle has been the star of the show. My impressions after using it 3 times......I really like this outdoor griddle. It seems to be pretty solidly built and It fits perfectly on my outdoor cooking counter. The cooking surface is more than ample to cook a meal for 3 to 4 people and it is amazingly easy to clean. A paper towel is about all you need. And I really like the swing down cover that keeps it clean between uses.Now to the two annoying issues.# 2 The grease cup (it's not even a cup, and definitely not a bucket) is too small. I doubt it would hold the all the grease from 1 package of bacon. But I've already figured out a workaround for this.# 1 There is something seriously wrong with the propane gas regulator. With all 3 dials set to Maximum and a newly refilled tank of propane, the flame is smaller than pilot light on my water heater. Thus the griddle heat is rather tepid and you won't be making any Paul Prudhomme dishes. I'm hoping that different gas regulator will solve this issue.

Absolutely perfect size for the camping couple that are us. Just the right size for two people yet still enough cooking space when company comes over. I first got this to use on an apartment balcony, to meet the fire codes. The stove is sturdy yet lightweight and portable, making it easy to set up and transport. Metal is thick material and not flimsy. Cooking is clean and hassle-free, and cleaning is easy. Whether you're grilling for one or a crowd, this durable, space-saving griddle is perfect for summer outdoor cooking. Happy with the purchase.

Purchased in June 2024. used 3 times last summer and after storing in a dry basement for the winter, the coating on the cook top has started peeling. I have reached out to the mfg for a replacement, and will update this review when they respond. The unit is good quality and was satisfied with the product before discovering the peeling.Recent update - the Captiva Design email provided on their website kicks back. I dont recommend this product based on their lack of customer service.
