Incredible, high quality, everything you need. This is the perfect kit to buy if you’re getting started with your sourdough game. Great value as most I’ve seen on other sites are more expensive. There’s instructions as well so it’s easy to use. I wish I could purchase each of these things individually.

My first time making bread and this made it easy for me.

The bread recipe that came with this sourdough kit was great. I love making up a load to go with dinner.But the actual physical product itself is a bit all over the place.Initially, I thought the scale was great. The shape of it actually made it much easier to read the screen When there's a bowl placed on it than the scale I had that is a different style. But the glass on the scale in this kit is extremely fragile. I'm not sure when the corner shattered because it has only been very lightly used for safely stored in my cupboard. But one of the corners is missing several smaller chunks and a large chunk and nothing has been done to the scale that should warrant that breakage. It is now kind of dangerous and extremely disappointing.The jar that came for making the starter I did not use as I had already had my own starter running. It itself is very nice but I'm not sure you could reasonably make starter in it because it has a solid top that does not allow for air flow which is not conducive to fermentation. So while it's a good size and it's good quality, it is not the correct tool for that job.The razor that came with the kit is well enough. Nothing extraordinary but not bad. Same with the rubber scraper.The dough whisk seems to be sturdy, which I appreciate. I was gifted a different dough whisk a few years ago that fell apart the first time I tried to drag it through a bread dough.But the knife they sent is absolute garbage. You couldn't give me money to use this knife let alone convince me to spend money on it. I couldn't get through the bottom crust of the bread, even the slightest bit, with the knife that came with the set and I had to go break out my bread knife which is significantly nicer.The banneton is pretty standard and nothing to complain about but not necessarily anything to write home about either.Overall, I would not recommend this kit to someone just starting out doing any sort of baking. I know people tend to lean towards inexpensive starter presents, and I can understand why. But I would actually be concerned that the set would end up discouraging someone from wanting to make sourdough which can be kind of intimidating anyways. At the same time I can see why they perhaps geared this towards people just starting out begging because they might not have the experience to judge whether or not this kit is of quality. So I would not purchase this kit, I do not think it is good value for the money, I would not gift it, I do not think it is fully functional as is.

I am so impressed by the quality and amount of items I’ve received in this sourdough kit! I’ve been following the recipe for the sourdough starter and it’s spot on, plus the tips are super helpful. Getting ready to make my first sourdough bread tomorrow and I literally have everything I could possibly need to do so in this kit. LOVE IT!!
