SUPER BRIGHT - JUST WHAT WE NEEDED
We live out in the country and it is very dark at night. These flashlights light up where we need it. Sturdy and feel they will last a long time. We must comment that the shipping was warp speed fast. All in all more then we expected.

Fantastic lights, excellent value.
I have used 3 of these so far and have been MOST impressed!!!They are absolutely reliable, easy to zoom in and out, have been dropped w/o causing problems and have a good battery life. I can't recommend these more highly. They are just excellent lights and an excellent value.

BAD DESIGN - INOPERATIVE SWITCH Duracell 700 Lumen Flashlight 2 packs
WASTE OF MONEY!!! DEFECTIVE SWITCH on one of them, right out of the box! There are even several online posts about this model by other consumers with SAME problem. Just like their batteries, with a high failure rate and inability to last compared to competition, Duracell does it again by ripping us off with never been used, still in the plastic flashlights with bad switch design. No way to disassemble the switch to repair it either. Don't wast your money or time. Duracell products SUCK! And I should know, I'm a Consumer Advocate who has reviewed consumer products since 1979.

Try this fix
I bought my set of Duracell 700 flashlights from Costco 2 years ago and had the same problem with the flashlights failing by going dim or not coming on at all after sitting for awhile. I tried new batteries but it would still fail the same way after parking it for awhile. I was going to tear it apart even if I destroyed it since it was worthless the way it was. What I did first was switch the batteries around thinking maybe a corroded contact up front and it worked a couple of tries then back to the fail mode. I then took 2 of the batteries out and with one left in the barrel I shook it back and forth slamming the battery back and forth against the contacts and either knocking off some corrosion inside the electronics in the head portion or jolting a contact surface I'm not sure which but the stupid thing is working fine now for a few days. Anyway it's worth a try before throwing it in the trash.

This is my go-to flashlight in my shop
I bought this two-pack at another big-box retailer a year or two, and it's my favorite non-rechargable flashlight in my shop - and I have a LOT of flashlights. It feels virtually indestructible, and the 3-C batteries give you a runtime that feels like months before you need a new set of batteries. I came to Amazon to buy a set of these for my dad, and was shocked to only see 5 reviews and a 4-star average because of the one bad review. The LED flashlights that take AA or AAA batteries are OK, but this flashlight is the perfect size: not too small, not too big, and you can carry it for hours without even thinking about it. It's also brighter than most of my other flashlights, so I'd say the 700-lumen rating is conservative. I do love the ability to focus or expand the beam, depending on my needs. Overall, this flightlight is a real winner! Amazon, please get them back in stock so I can order more! :-)

Poor Design, not reliable.
Purchased two of these at Costco. Both worked fine for a short while. One stopped working after about a month. Sometime it will come on sometimes not. I tried putting only one battery in it (as one reviewer suggested) and shaking it. That worked for about a minute then stopped.
