The perfect book for beginners and for some experienced
This book is perfect. It gives you a well understanding of grading concept, environmental design of a grading room, monitor references, hardware, everything you need to start grading. It comes with practical stuff, and good examples to understand everything on it. This is not an easy task to do, is almost a science and you need a lot of clear concept to become a master. This book explain all you need to start grading an practicing.

Very clear step by step
Is good starting point, in the regular basis. If someone need to learn the craft of color grading, regardless of the tool, this is their first manual.

Kind of a mixed bag
I ordered the physical book as you really need to review all before/after pictures and that wouldn't make any sense on the b/w Kindle. If you're new to color correction avoid this book until you have a tad more personal practice. While the people portrayed are real pros the actual task they are performing throughout the book tend to get quite boring. I ended up skipping many of the 500 (!) pages. The problem is, there is nothing really wrong about the book. Some insights are just great and there are a few I-did-not-know-that-yesterday moments but the examples are really a bit uninspiring but that's maybe because it can only be shown with still images. And if you're new to color correction you're better off watching a short tutorial on Youtube or Vimeo. I learned a lot more through videos than by reading the book.

Incomplete video tutorial on DVD
I'm in the midst of reading this book, but I've noticed on the DVD Supplied that there's an incomplete tutorial, it might just be my copy. Otherwise, the book is a wealth of information.
